GPX 6000 - How Do Others Compete?
DigsAlot replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
I have to differ with you on the sdc point. If the graph is correct and that is a big if, it will kill the sdc. The 6k appears all based of limited info, that it will compress very small as well. So you have a fine gold finder and backpacking size. These facts might kill the sdc. -

I dropped that while walking around. You can keep it. To big for me. Very nice piece. -
Dear Lunk, I am going to need you to put down the detector and walk away. You sir are depleting our gold reserves. P.s please put the proper cover sheet on your TPS reports mmmmkkkk

The SDC is a top end machine result wise. I personally hate the actual unit. My gold partner keeps up with my Zed. Depth withstanding. An sdc in a regular body with real upgrades is what is left in the market for minelab to corner.

Did someone say we are getting an app for the forum?

Lunk, where you been? You find a mega patch?

Looks like you had fun Peg. My gold plans at 80 are to just take Nevadabrians gold lol.

How about that 6k -
Chet cleaned it out his last trip out. Try Hawaii lol.

Lol. Just more practical for me. Took alot of will power not to order that wonderful blue.
-
It would show the use of the detector faster then the grey color i use. Such as sitting on rocks or rubbing on brush, dirt. Like wearing white, shows all the dirt.

Steveg shafts are top notch. I love mine. I do really wish I had a blue one, sadly it would not be best for desert detecting. But, damn it is nice looking.

No worries Johnny. Old threads are just paused discussion on this forum. As for the price of the unit I am not sure what what your area price would be. You could check ebay or ask Rob as he is a used dealer he would know more then i. However if you do get it let us know. As you can see lots of people really liked that unit. -

Good example. The second part of the file after dirt is removed it very obvious and the type of signal I would hope it always makes. The first part would get my attention yes. However where I hunt the ground makes that very same signal including getting loud if soil is removed. What tip can we use to discover the truth of the matter? -

Thanks for the info. I will have to play with some targets next time out. Yes in example 3 I would drop thresh to Zero. I don't currently run that way. I am interested in giving it a try however. The smooth round target signal is harder for to extract from the ground noise. What would you suggest to make it sharp more in your face type signal. Thanks you for the detailed response JP.
