First 5 days all tests were done in factory settings. Next 5 days were done with custom settings. However the custom settings remained consistent between the three choices. Testing was done with recovery speeds in 4,5 and 6 Sensitivity was chosen in a practical huntable amount for this location. Between 20-22 for all modes. As to not skew any one choice. Example: if we could hunt at 20 comfortably in low conductor that is where the testing was done. Likewise, if 22 was comfortable to hunt in Sea Water that is where the testing was done.

No YouTube for me. Easy tests to do for anyone. We could not get any type of gold [chains or rings] to perform better. Kept huntable sensitivity settings between 20-22 in all modes depending on what part of the beach we were hunting.

UPDATE> Had the Manticore here for another 5 days. Could not get one gold test in low conductor to outperform Sea Water or Beach Deep. Just dumbfounded.

Two 1800s Coins And Why Audio Matters As Much As Vdi

So to be clear? You use PWM? Have you modified the MHz of the tone? How many tones do you use? -
Two 1800s Coins And Why Audio Matters As Much As Vdi

Would you like to share your audio set-up? -
this is a simple math equation! What is the difference between a coil mount that is 1.5 inches off-center AND a lower rod that is extended 1.5 inches further with a center mount coil?
-
These were the test subjects. We have been checking wild targets, Manticore and D2 both wet sand and moving water.
-
The offset coil is a nightmare for a beach hunter. Would there be anything wrong with extending your lower rod? Gives you more coverage on your swing too! 😊 There is a person who thinks he is a good beach hunter on Youtube and I watch his swing sweep with about a maximum of 3' in total. I just laugh! Not sure why people are so obsessed swinging at their feet?

I have the Manticore here for the second time testing. All-in all, the Manticore will out hunt the Equinox on the beach. The only place the Equinox will come close is wet sand with no water contact. The Manticore is Better in moving salt water, and it is not even close. It may be better than the D2, but that would need a little more time to compare. In all our testing the Manticore is better on gold chains and deep buried gold rings in the wet sand than both the Equinox and D2. We are out for the last day of a 5-day stretch of testing. Yesterday was chain day, the top two were found the Manticore and the bottom one was found with the D2.

I charge and get more for that work.

I disagree. If you do not want your Equinox ears to break, then epoxy the coil stiffener to the coil ears and do not skimp on product!

Hi Jeff Why are you using a recovery of 8?? Your soil? Carpet of nails? Thanks.

My fear is: They will tell you the pod is not serviceable. Seems like a common bunch of words out of their mouths.

Of course, you will not have any issues. You could have used JB Weld too. I still like the slower drying time of Marine Epoxy. I have had some of the fast-drying epoxy's fail in a few detecting applications.

Some Interesting News From Quest Detectors

"Some Interesting News From Quest Detectors" Is this thread going to get interesting??? 😁 -
Why is Mexico out of the question? What question would that be?

Yes, Loctite Marine Epoxy. It goes everywhere on my coils including the bottoms.

Deus 2 Vs Tarsacci On The Black Sand Beach
midalake replied to Kaolin washer's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Well the two machines are totally different. The Tarsacci is single frequency and the D2 multi. When I ran the Tarsacci here in moderate Black Sand I could not get past 9khz without having issues. However, I could run at just about max sensitivity even in the water. It might be possible to see different results running in 9khz? -
Awesome find! My luck, I would have cut it in half with the scoop.
