  1. Did I see somewhere in the past that all these new SMF machines can't use concentric coils? I hope not.
  2. I almost pre-ordered a Legend but ended up not. I've owned 4 Nokta and/or Makro machines in the past and was very impressed with all 4. Customer service, performance, build quality, coil selection are all top notch. I still own the Impact, along with the Equinox, but I'm going to wait for a year on the Legend just because it's their 1st SMF machine. I really hope Steve Herschbach, Keith Southern, and Tom Dankowski evaluate the Legend and share their thoughts.
  3. N/M needs to release some "I ❤️ Dilek" T-shirts. She's been A1 since day 1.
  4. I'm so glad the Impact isn't on the list. With it's modes and coil choices it can still do amazing things at it's price point.
  5. Looks like Cal and Tom are testing out a new make/model of divining rod. 😆 You guys really have their energy dialed-in. 👻 👽🍀 You are legends.
  6. Back on topic.... I'll likely grab a Legend a few months after the initial reports. Winter is starting here. I've done it with the Racer2, the Impact, and the Simplex+ and was happy each time. I'm adding it as a 3rd machine to supplement the Impact and the Equinox 600.
  7. When I had my Simplex I had problems with one of the updates. I deleted and redownloaded the update file, then reinstalled the new file and everything was fine.
  8. Never used the Anfibio but have had an Impact for a long time. The Impact with the 13" Mars Discovery coil (great depth) and the little 4x7 football coil (great in the trash) is a KILLER set up for a great price. If you need waterproof the Anfibio is your answer though.
  9. I've got an Equinox 600 with one of Steve's gold carbon fiber rods set up with a fully loaded counterweight. I only use the 11" coil and I'm 6'2" and it feels perfectly balanced to me and there is zero flex in the shaft when swinging.
  10. I have a theory on the "jumpy ID's" versus "more stable ID's at depth" within the Simplex software updates. Some users prefer no ID to a jumpy ID at depth, while others prefer having a numerical reading to go along with what they hear, even if it's jumpy. My Nokta Impact has a hidden setting called "Target ID Depth". From page 11 of their manual - Target ID Depth This setting is not present in the menu. Adjusts the depth level that the device displays an ID for a detected target. It consists of 3 levels: Hi (High), In (Intermediate), Lo (Low). Factory default is set to ''In''. The lower the ID depth level is, the higher the ID accuracy and vice versa. At the high level, the IDs may become jumpy. To change the ID depth level, pull the trigger and press the up button simultaneously. Each time you press the up button, the ID depth level will change. I believe they put this tech in the Simplex. Different software revisions have different target ID depth settings, but they are unchangeable on the Simplex.
  11. Maybe powered and charged by the movement of swinging the coil. 💭
