James Ryan
I am a retired police officer and took up detecting about 7 years ago. I started with the AT Pro and last summer switched to using a Minelab 600 and also a Simplex. I am looking forward to learning as I go along and also checking into the wealth of information on this site. Hope you all have a great day. Valens Legacy
James, Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service. Sounds like you have some good equipment and the 600 will serve you well. I have my grandfathers 800 and I am still learning it, I seem to do better with the factory settings and enjoy the hunt. Good luck as I know you are in a great area for metal detecting and I am looking forward to seeing some of your finds.

rvpopeye
Welcome aboard retired officer Ryan. I'm a retired musician/tech and I disagree with the lady next door. I feel that my volume level is reasonable........ Good luck in your "evidence gathering" pursuits.
