Popular Post NJ Art
Five days of heaven and its not done yet. It was a nonstop adrenalin rush and I cant wait to get back on the site. My favorite is the silver buckle with a makers mark of silversmith Thomas Shields, he has a cool history and his works are in museums. All the silver buckles I have found have been busted up by the plow so this find was very speciaI. Dug 7 King George II coppers one was clipped, 4 George III coppers, 2 Connecticut coppers, 1 New Jersey copper, a 1723 Woods Hibernia halfpenny, French Louis XV 1 Liard [1719-1723], Spain 1724 2 Reales Madrid, Spain 1723 1 Reales Segovia, and a 1853 seated dime. A bunch of cuff links all of which I have found multiples of at other sites, they were sold on cardboard displays inΒ general stores, I love finding them. Lots of buttons and smalls. Also found a similar Oak Island trade token whizzer.π 33

JCR
That is a wonderful opportunity right there, almost unheard of nowadays. Some beautiful finds. I see one of your cuff links has the Masonic emblem of the Compass and Square. Please keep us informed on your adventure.

schoolofhardNox
Beautiful knee buckle. You can tell just from the finds there was money at that house. Engraved Tombacs, a masonic cuff link, plus other nicer design cuff links, and some of the best coppers I have seen come out of the woods. Beautiful soil where you are at. Must have great drainage. Congrats on some stellar hunting.
