Minelab PRO-SONIC Universal Wireless Audio System
johnedoe replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
I will either wait for White's to come out with one for my MXT or if they are too slow about it I will get the Garrett for $128.00 No rush since I use my V3i mostly now. Those prices are out of line....... But thats just me. -

Beach Mining
johnedoe replied to johnedoe's topic in Gold Panning, Sluicing, Dredging, Drywashing, Etc
Oregon beach mining as a rule won't make ya wages... But for me it is a means to get out and get some exercise... The beaches are so variable on the Oregon coast that one day you may find good sands and the next tide will sweep them out or to a new location. Here is a link from the Alaska Gold Forum that has some great info.... http://bb.bbboy.net/alaskagoldforum-viewthread?forum=2&thread=2058 Great links there Steve. Thanks for posting them. More later. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. -
Do we have any beach miners here? I'm in Oregon and do a bit of sand sifting. The Oregon laws for the beach include No Power equipment so you have to ground sluice or have a recirculator above the high tide line or above the grass line. Kind of a pain but doable. Anyway I have a thread going over at TreasureNet that is a little rambling but it will show ya what kind of equipment I use and some of the results.... Nope nothing like the Nome beaches but it gets me off the couch and I manage to eek out a little color. So here's a link to the thread, hope you find some humor in it as well as maybe a little info. too. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/sluicing/454120-got-out-little-today.html If we get a discussion going here I will just post anything new here instead of a link to another forum. Thank's for looking. Also does anyone have any info on beach mining in northern cal.? I can't find a thing on it and I have heard of a couple very promising beaches. But I won't spend the time and energy on them and the trip without some knowledge on the regs.

That is what ya call a real life changer.............. -
I'm gonna be a little transparent here and I hope you all can get as good a laugh out of it as I did....................eventually... Dana. ...... I did the same thing. I got a hot new coil for the V. OK….. here is a small vial of beach gold. finger for reference point…. I got the V out… it now has the 6x10 elliptical coil on it. in the stock prospecting mode it will detect that vial with cap on at a little over 2 inches……… WOWEEEEEE The wife walks by and sees I am quite happy with this little experiment......... She then just looks at me and says .....Take the cap ..... off the bottle...................... I take the cap off and it actually still detected the small amount of gold in that vial but I almost had to scrub the bottom of the vial against the coil…..Still not bad I guess. Brought to you by Rough and Ready scientific laboratories…….

Like New White's Bigfoot Coil Only $525!
johnedoe replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I understand that part but in a coil there is usually a small circuit board that has something to do with the tuning of the coil... Didn't the Bigfoot have something like that as well? -
Treasure / Trash Pouch
johnedoe replied to Grass Valley Buck Master's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
LOL.... Great minds think alike... And on a side note that 6x10 coil you sent me is HOT. Got out a little today and did pretty good on some well worked areas. No jewelry but lots of clad.. Thank's again -
I am sorry this had to happen to you Jim..... There are a lot of people these days that are just no damn good.............. Hope someone spots your old friend for you soon.
