  1. I used to subscribe to the CMJ for years and read everything from cover to cover. A wealth of information in those pages.
  2. That sounds good to me. I would rather have a gold magnet than a silver magnet for my hunting situations.
  3. Excellent test you did phrunt! That puts a lot of the mystery about EMI and the new update to sleep.
  4. Nice going Joe! It sure cleaned up nicely too. Looks like the AQ is waking up the deep ones.
  5. It’s marked 18k inside and just to be sure o did an acid test and all is well!
  6. Congrats on your first time out and the gold bonus! Good to hear you're liking the machine. That's quite a ring!!
  7. Found this tiny 1.1 gram 18K in the wet sand over the weekend. Looks like diamond chips all around the band but too small to test. Bob K
  8. So apparently if you get one wet... they multiply? Nice unknown feature!!
  9. Nice report on the AQ. I think when they are finally released to the general public, a lot of people will be lined up waiting to purchase.
  10. Excellent find on the chain and crucifix! I hunt 99% of the time in beach modes and they work just fine for me!
  11. Joe. Thanks for the parts list. The only thing I can relate to is the JB Weld. 😆 Best to just keep me on your list! 👍
  12. Thanks. That ornate gold band is really yellow in color. I was sure it might be a higher karat but is marked 14k.
  13. Some beach erosion and high waves from Sally brought these into detector range. One silver and 3 gold. Two are 14K, and the other is 10K. About 8 hours total over 2 days. Three rings on the first day and one on the second day. I went back on the third day and all was sanded in again. I don't know what the gemstone is in the ring. Not a diamond. Bob K
  14. Nice hunt! Three gold makes it very rewarding!
  15. Hey Joe... I guess I should stay up to date more often with all the forum news, but I'm out hunting all the time. If you manage to squeeze out another battery, either size... I will take it. I don't have the AQ yet but am on the list. Thanks for the consideration! Bob K
  16. If I ever get the AQ, I too will be digging everything to see what it does, but probably won't hunt the dry sand.
  17. Great pictures. Nice to see rocks and erosion. By the looks of the targets there has to be gold there. Good luck on the next hunt.
  18. Nice going Joe! There’s always something special about the older gold. Great hunt again!
  19. Wow! You sure found an assortment of rings! Congrats on the nugget!
  20. A short hunt just before sunset snagged this small 2.2 gram 14K in the salt water with the Nox 800.
  21. Congrats on the finds! Hopefully the Cartier is real. It should feel pretty heavy in your hand.
