I have the detectormods high-capacity rig on my 5000, and just use a Bluetooth LL transmitter, and the Avantree Torus, or my JBL Wind speaker on the detectors shaft.  I've been happy enough with it, charges with USB C.

I just kept my original larger Minelab battery pouch DD leather case and put my battery in that, pretty roomy for the little battery but doesn't matter to me, I store some snacks in there 😛

Thanks Phrunt - that is 1 vote for the DM battery system  🙂

Could you do me a favour please?  The website says the battery is 450 gm but it doesn't look that big.  Is that accurate?  Still much lighter than the Minelab at 780 gm.

On PA there was a suggestion of just putting the Li-Ion in a pouch exactly like yours and using the harness and guide stick - which I already do.  It is certainly the cheapest option as I already have 2 of the batteries.  Already have 2 pouches too, just not with the battery holder on the side unfortunately.   This may just be the easiest, but not lightest, road to take.  Would just need one of the short 5 pin power leads that NF make - PhaseTech stocks them.

Decisions!

I have a variety of ones I have made and just been having fun with the different options all with 1/4” and 1/8” jacks. The best one I have put to gather was one with a bypass for when not amplifying an external speaker, seems to give a clearer sound when using a Bluetooth system.

The battery systems are pretty lightweight. 161 grams without batteries and another 91 grams with the batteries.
