No worries mate, I rushed out today @ about 6am in about 38*f and 70 mph+ winds and I had sideways Rain and it cut like a knife,

Those setting are a good start point and will get you in the thick of it, remember pull tabs can come up anywhere from about 12 to 26+ but so does Gold rings etc, I once found one that gave a VDI of "4" and it was 18k with 5 Diamonds and a platinum top on it So don't get fooled by them low numbers and walk away or Disc em out by cranking up that disc knob and if you use the Relic mode for prospecting "Never" set the disc higher than 2 because some Gold can have rust deposits on it lowering the VDI reading causing the machine to say it's junk,, But seeing as this machine is Alien to you for now use the Disc between 2.8 to 2.9 and Life will be good,Ok
