Gerry:  That is a wonderful specimen in the above picture.  Congratulations to your customer.  I am interested in the quartz or host material.  There does not appear to be any iron staining.  Was this  sample cleaned of iron staining or is this essentially its character as found (minus the dirt)?  I am also curious about the quartz host rock (assuming that it is quartz) that hosts the gold.  In the picture it appears to be opaque white.  Is that a correct assumption.  And if so, does this quartz qualify for what is commonly called "bull quartz"?  Just curious. Thanks for sharing.

Steve, The find is pretty much as is and has not been cleaned as it didn't need it.  Yes some pieces have the orange/red iron staining like the find I made below in Australia.Aust3.JPG.1b93857c37b57cf3017d70d834ca8c1f.JPG

Then there's the ones that come out pretty clean of iron like below.

As for the kind of host rock/quartz.  I'm not a geologist so not sure if Bull Quartz is or is not the term.

Sorry, I should have done better research rather than instantly get angry.  It's because NZ keeps getting left off World maps, and when I thought we were left off the Coke Cola list of countries I saw RED.

Off topic maybe, maybe not, it is quite amusing to see a lot of people trying to workout where that nugget came from, what is everyone going to do start a rush. Kiwi's have a great sense of humor, I've seen that guy on a comedy series here in Aus. but can't place him. You could bunch Aussie, Kiwi and Pommie humor together, can't separate them. Sorry but the Yanks aren't in the same class. Having said that, as individual comedians the Yanks win hands down. Funny that he's blaming Australia, we just haven't been forgiven for that underarm incident. I get it we have the same problem of being left off the map here in Tasmania. Will the last person to leave New Zealand please turn off the lights.

These Specimens were from an area of 10 by 10 mile and shows some differences.

As can be seen there is many types of specimen.

Wow, that Wofram/gold specimen would certainly be a favourite specie, just wondering if it`s no imposition, is it from Victoria?

It might give away one of my spots, but here goes. I was in the area near a Wolfram mine within a 100 km from Leonora West Aust. Note if anyone find the spot I don't want to know how much gold I left behind.  🤐
