  1. Congratulations ✌️ Welcome to the Morgan club!
  2. Welcome to the group Bill from another successful Equinox user. I will be looking forward to seeing your participation on the Minelab and Deus threads. That Deus 2 should be a real game changer. I have a Deus 1 and I think that it compliments the Equinox very well having it in my personal arsenal. Happy Hunting!
  3. Welcome back to the group Jack! We cant wait to see the pictures and stats of your many gold nugget hunts.
  4. Lets look at the biggest complaints of the Etrac and the CTX- * First users complain that the Etrac and the CTX are both just too heavy to swing for long periods of time. * The Etrac is a slow and go metal detector, so the slower your swing the deeper the coil will read the ground. * The CTX is over 10 years old and like its cousin, the Etrac, its processor is also a slow and go system in order to get the best depth. With these things in mind wouldn't a new FBS3 system be the answer? Keeping it all in a housing like the Equinox currently uses with an all new coil lineup. Call it the Equinox 2 and make its processing system faster than any of the past units that Minelab has offered.
  5. I use the Minelab Equinox, Etrac, and CTX 3030. I recently acquired a XPDeus from a friend that was updating to the Deus 2. The Deus is an amazing relic machine. Happy hunting Diggit!
  6. Hello from Kansas! Welcome to the group and the in depth knowledge that it offers for every user category in metal detecting. I also use TreasureNet and enjoy its bountiful offerings to the great metal detecting world. Even if you don't post your finds enjoy the entries and chime in if you have any questions or viewpoints.
  7. Awesome!!! Are you one of the Nomad testers or did you get one off of the first wave of Legends to hit the states? I cant wait to hear about how well it performs out in the parks, fields, and beaches! Congrats on your new delivery.
  8. In our metal detecting club in Topeka, Kansas, we have about 67 active club members and of those there are 16 that metal detect and contribute on the regular.
  9. Hello and welcome to the Forum. We will be looking forward to seeing all of your great contributions to the page. I was a Deus 1 user for a few years, but most recently I've decided to pre-order the Legend to see how it's going to compare to the Equinox and Deus 2. Good Luck out there fellow hunter.✌️
  10. I wonder if they are going to consider a program update,in the Spring, for allowing the user to synch up to the legend? Being that the newest model design for this pinpointer is still down the road as far as testing and production goes?
  11. Thanks for an incredible idea! I think maybe I'll make one and anchor it into the wall next to my metal detector rack. Awesome!
  12. Don't forget to list your token on the World Of Tokens page.
  13. Great Indian, and congratulations on the Galena, Ks, mine token! That area was alive and well with lead and ore mines during the early 1900's.
  14. Darn it! I guess that I will just upgrade when the newest pinpointer becomes available.
  15. I can't wait to see a few coil options after the release happens. I'm really curious to see if the Nokta pulse dive will be compatible with the Legend as far as synching it to the headphones and detector. This is going to be an amazing detector!
  16. Her videos are always so direct and straight forward. Has anyone heard if the Nokta Makro pulse dive will be compatible with the Legend to the extent that you'll be able to synch it to the detector and hear it through the headphones? Thanks for providing the video update BTW.
  17. Welcome to the group Dasbear. Your going to love making the switch to the Equinox. There's lots of great people to follow on YouTube such as Diggin'SoCal, Dig That Beep, Preacher Digger, just to name a few. Buy a good set of headphones and listen to those tones closely. We will be looking forward to seeing your adventures out in 2022. HappY Hunting and keep your coil to the soil!
  18. I'm new to the XP Deus user group and most recently purchased a lightly used Deus that currently runs on the version 4.1 program. If I upgrade to the 5.0 what will I gain or loose? I have only have the standard coil that came with the detector, but I have been told that I should purchase an X35 9"coil and/0r the 9.5" elliptical HP coil. I'm definitely looking forward to working with this detector more in season two of using it. Heath Jones always told me that the Deus is the best civil war relic machine that money can buy. Now I will be putting it to the test on some of the wagon trails across Kansas. Jason-NEK
  19. Great finds nickeldNdimed! I to enjoy talking talking to the older people of the communities around me as they are an amazing resource to the past. I even frequent the county museums for snapshots of old pictures and maps from the past. Many libraries have boxes of old plot maps and editorials from earlier times that you can ask to read and look at while in the building. They will never let you check them out, but most will let you print off copies of anything that they have to reference for a future detecting trip. Another great resource is a bicentennial book that most communities release of memories within their counties history. You already know how to get old plot maps and aerials. Good Luck this Year and Happy Hunting!
  20. Just an observation made. No sources to reveal here as I dont work for Garrett :-)
  21. Bill from what I gather, Garret is currently breaking down the codes to the Whites V3i detector and looking to make a new chapter in the Garret lineup in the not so distant future. I've also heard that the Apex line could be getting a new addition soon. What some are calling the ATApex.
  22. Sorry for your loss of the most dearest person in your life. I to have went through not one, but now a second round of Covid. Our ground here in N.E. Kansas has been frozen this month, thus far, but I'm still getting out and swinging the coil. Silver is always a great way to start out the new year and your setup with Steves Rods is what I use also as its so much better than the factory rod. Here's to a great detecting year in 2022!
  23. They are now filming another season of the Detectorists. Get ready these two are at it again!
