  1. It would be in the best hands having Klunker watch over it. Let's get the backhoe there?
  2. Make sure you do the noise cancel and ground balance procedure as the the manual recommends. You will get a good feel for the machine after a short time. Then you can tweak the settings to your environment.

  5. Well they say" a Wiseman builds a shed over his tools". Actually dropped about 20 lbs this summer.Carrying all those nuggets out. All kidding aside. Paul is a good friend of mine. I would give him my shirt anytime!

  7. It makes no difference of the gold price. I do it because I love to prospect. I enjoy the research. I especially meeting the great people in the hobby. It is the thrill of the hunt. I have the passion for it. Gold in my veins. I've become super fond of nuggetshooting. I'm in my own world when out detecting. It is two worlds that come together. The old one in mans quest for precious treasure for centuries. The new one in modern technology aiding man in it's search for the first. But we have to bring younger generations into sports and hobbies we have passion for. They are only seemingly taught one side of the story today. This is why I do events teaching the youngsters prospecting in the gold groups I'm involved in.
  8. In addition to finding the 3 nice pieces yesterday. Minelab had the forethought to put my Ferrite ring in my nugget patch, at least 50 years ago. How thoughtful.
  9. Seems to reason, if you like the wireless WM12. You would need a spare battery and WM12. Since the charging times are the same.

  11. Well the patch ain't dead yet! I worked the fringes and every nook and cranny. Got 9.3 dwt. And poked the coil in every difficult spot I could.
  12. Been picking out the patch for the last month. Been getting fewer pieces. Then a couple days ago, finally got skunked. All of the easy ones are picked. Been poking around all the bushes and rocks. Any advice to know when you should move on?

  15. Harrold Musser did some wonderful carvings for the 16 to 1. He is also a curator at the Taylorsville gem and mineral museum in Taylorsville California. A must see if ever in Plumas county.
  16. I figured it out. They are encrypted ferrite rings. I think a copyright infringement or patent issue. I heard there were some counterfeit knockoff chinese ferrite wings on EBAY. I didn't spell rings wong.
  17. I texted my dealer. He tried to get some yesterday to no avail from minelab.
  18. PLP puts out a business card size info on the same lines of what you are discussing. Check out AMRA also. But I have never seen the print you mentioned. I would like a copy also.
  19. Roaring camp is a great place to stay for the week or for Saturday night dinner.
  20. I gorilla glued the little foot on the Zed . Great stuff. But wear disposable gloves if you don't mind having your hands stained from the glue for a few days. I've used the glue for over ten years now.
