If the snow level is at 5000 ft, and we go detecting at 5200 ft elevation. Does that mean we have 200 ft of snow?

That is my dog Rooster. He likes to jump up and get sticks out of my hand. He becomes Kanga- Rooster then. He's the best detecting dog. He's been detecting with Klunker for years. Been with Strick & Steve H also. -

The material you are taking to run thru a sluice, what kind of gold are you getting from it? Size of gold, how many flakes, pickers? Is there detectable gold in the area you are working or just fines?

Twinkle Twinkle little star, wondering what Minelab is thinking from afar. Like a diamond in the sky, Minelab's communication skills makes me cry. 🤣
-
Minelab plastered their propaganda yesterday on Facebook on their dealers pages. I asked a couple of them what it was. Their response, "we don't know". Bahaaa, this must be how Minelab likes to do business with its dealers and customers. Just like the 6000 speaker EMI fiasco of 2022. 🤣

I'm really disappointed at Minelab's total lack of communication with its loyal customers. Honestly, what would it take to email all the customers that have warranty registered their machines? Let them know what is going on. And then provide them with a prepaid shipping label to and from the repair center. ( correct me if I'm wrong on who is paying for the shipping) And as many of you loyal customers that have spent $5000 to $15,000 of money on detectors over the years, here is a token of appreciation from Minelab. Here is a voucher for $50 bucks off on a new battery or something like that. I personally am going to wait on see how the repairs go on machines sent in. This so called fix might do nothing or make it worse. Who knows. But the arrogance and lack of communication from Minelab just irks the shit of of me. I sure hope the Fix works wonders.

Curious if you will be signing autographs? Maybe on 5x7 glossies? I'll keep a sharpie in my truck for next time I see you. 😉 -
I totally get that some of you are waiting for the NF coils. I don't blame you in the least. I honestly like the NF coils myself and perfered them on my 5000. ( except for the sadie) But on the 6000 I'm very happy with the Goldhawk. It sounds very possible that the wait for the NF Exceed coils could be 2,3,4 months away. In that time period think of how many days, months of your life , how many detecting days, how many possible gold targets missed that you will never get back. This is a risk/ reward hobby. Some are in it for the love of detecting, some just for the $$, some like me find it so peaceful to be in the sticks and the thrill of possibly finding a treasure of gold that no other human being has held in his hands since the creation of this earth. So for around $400 USA dollars is makes total sense to me now is too try what is I consider the best available now.

Doing a little thinking on the topic... Maybe the supply chains for getting the proper supplies is slow or hard to find certain items. Maybe they are running into technical issues in the coils? I would rather them make sure the coils run flawlessly than release them with some possible issues. Where have we seen that before. But all I can think is some Nuggetfinder loyalists are getting impatient and jumping over to Coiltek for the 6000 coils. I know I am. In the short-term Coiltek is my new main coil buddy.

Late in the year🤣... Heck this cooler weather in the Northern Hemisphere is just prime for detecting. Nevada and Arizona detectorists are getting out in full force for the whole day now. Us California detectorists will start having to go to some lower elevation soon with the 1st snows. The southern Hemisphere detectorists are out detecting most of the year. The 17x13 NF elliptical for the 7000 is out in Australia in limited quantities. This world is crazy and a meteor can end it all at anytime. I want the best coils possible out for my machines now! 🤣

I came across this class. It might be of interest to some of you. Seems to be expensive at a $100 bucks for the class. But just think if it gets you a couple of nuggets. https://theprospectinggeologist.com/online-lidar-map-making-class/
