Dakota
Which do you consider the best of the two and why? Thanks Bill
Steve Herschbach
Two different ways to get the same thing done. The E-Trac by comparison is much simpler and easier for beginners to get good results with. I have a V3i precisely because it has more adjustments than any detector I have ever experienced, but that complexity can turn into a rabbit hole for some people. However, it need not be difficult to use - just stick with the numerous preset programs. I recommend you review the owners manuals for each on the company websites. That will probably sort it out for you. Minelab E-TRAC Instruction Manual White’s V3i Owner’s Guide
TennesseeDigger
Etrac for me. I had a V3i... after spending about 40 hours with it (maybe 6 detecting) the other 34 trying to figure it out... I let it go. It has a library of congress size menu system, sub menus and settings that if changed, may alter other settings from other sub, sub menus.. This drove me nuts! The Etrac as Steve stated is very simple and deep on coins.
