If technology were not moving forward that might be a huge issue for me. But it’s not. Sure, my rotary dial phone was built to last 100 years, but who cares really? It just means I paid too much for something I threw away anyway. Same with those old TV sets I literally gave away. I know for a fact I won’t be using an Equinox 5 years from now, no more than I’m still using any of the dozens of other detectors now in my rear view mirror. Some of you guys want to buy one detector for life, and nothing wrong with that. Gets a White’s MXT and be happy. But for me even five years is a long time for one detector, and I am at year three with my Equinox. I doubt at this point I’ll even need to replace the batteries before I move on, they are holding up so well. Anyone remember three years ago when that was such an OMG issue?
