  1. I read someplace that part of the Minelab 'setup' for this release were extra 'parts' to fix some that would have problems. There may be a control box just waiting for you to call them and they ship it to you.
  2. There should be some type of 'do it yourself' kit that lets you heat the material (without coil) in an oven, wrap it around your object (coil) and then trim it to fit. An alternate kit could be something that cures due to a chemical reaction and when set it servers our purposes. Are there such kits for plumbing or roof repairs already?
  3. That is a National Plan to 'conserve' 30% of the land of the United States.
  4. There have been many areas pushed at Rye Patch. Some legally and some well ... at times when there was no one around to do anything about it. I remember one of my first trips there about 10 years ago and there were 'pushes' all over the place for some reason. They were not very big but ... I didn't know. I was told that someone from a University was taking samples. I very much doubt that story years later. Other sections that are owned by the mining companies have been pushed. Claims can be 'staked' and permits can be issued for pushes as long as you put up a bond to put the place back in order. This was allowed by the BLM in the past but the nominee for BLM now may not issue such permits. There is also something proposed called the 30x30 plan which may put many of our patches off limits. Get your gold while you can ladies and gentlemen.
  5. Thanks for the long, honest report. It mirrors my 7000 results from the same area. When the gold is gone ... it is gone. There is nothing going on geologically to replace it. Previous technology has removed most of it and maybe all of it in some areas. It is just a fact you demonstrated again with your highly trained ears. Thank you.
  6. Dave, Here is another one. Gold Mysteriously Concentrates Around Arsenic, and Scientists Finally Understand Why https://www.sciencetimes.com/articles/32117/20210706/gold-mysteriously-concentrates-around-arsenic-new-study-finally-explains-why.htm
  7. Chuck has posted a question that says: If you had 8000 dollars to buy one are more detectors how would you spend it? I’m talking about nugget hunting only. My question is: If you already have a 6000 or you need to sell one or two of your detectors to get a 6000, which detector do you own that you will sell first? Which would you sell second? Which detector will you not sell? If you are going to keep all of your detectors you don't need to answer. Mitchel
  8. Just as a review ... are all Bogene's Settings alike on the 7000 and would they also be the same on the 6000? Is there a 'range' of Bogene's Settings is what I'm trying to get at or is there just Bogene's and everything else is not Bogene's?
  9. Well done my teacher! I'm sure it is too hot to be looking for new patches. You have to get the nuggets where you got them before.
  10. I wouldn't call all of those tiny but once you find out that some have been missed ... others follow! Good job by your friend.
  11. If I didn't already have a few detectors I'd buy a 6000. Now that I have some I would buy USED equipment for further purchases depending on where I was going to look for nuggets. I'm not a great fan of tiny but that might be all there is in the near future. I have a 7000 setup for an X-coil so I would get a concentric. What will be left AFTER the 6000? DEEP will be the only game in town then. You can't keep missing shallow gold forever.
  12. Quite good that in addition to machines that they have a few replacement components as well. They certainly learned that parts are important too. Thanks for the reports.
  13. Well, I know it was Bill's but you are in it! Well done.
  14. Not all pyrite is created equal. The more irregular the crystals the more gold there could be trapped in it. https://www.australianmining.com.au/news/invisible-gold-seen-for-the-first-time/
  15. How many 6000s did you get for your customer training?
  16. I've worn them a couple of times now and I would say the ankle stability is fine. When I put them on I feel them above my ankle a bit but I'm a guy who wears sandals about 95% of the time. The lugs on the bottom aren't real deep but I think when you step on a rock it will not slip off too easily and you will be able to climb. I haven't been out to the desert with them yet. Mitchel
  17. Steve, Take your time. That means don't leave in a rush and don't come back too soon! Relax. Mitchel
  18. Here are some waterproof, ultra portable speakers! https://www.amazon.com/s?keywords=Portable+Bluetooth+Speakers&i=electronics&rh=n%3A7073956011%2Cp_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A5662320011%2Cp_n_feature_eleven_browse-bin%3A14384066011\c14384067011&dc&_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&qid=1624471538&rnid=14384058011&ts_id=7073956011&ref=sr_nr_p_n_feature_eleven_browse-bin_4
  19. That would be a great source if the job was 'big enough' but there should be some techs that would do an adapter as a side job on a home bench and give you expert service.
  20. I like this quote: The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is the richest temple in the world. Not only is the exterior of the Hindu shrine to Maha Vishnu completely covered in gold leaf, but there are also unbelievable treasures found inside. Only one of a total of six treasure vaults has been opened to date, with a total gold treasure estimated at $1 trillion. Trillion!
  21. Bring your 6000 and a video camera and SHOW that it can find BIG GOLD!
