Just switch it into tracking and swing away.  It will balance out close enough when in FMF with little to no performance hit as it will average out the random small targets in the ground.  

I did this at a high iron density, mild dirt field (yes with my D2) and it worked like a champ it also did not null out targets as I was swinging over and interrogating them.

I would probably not do this if I was focusing on prospecting micro gold targets, but I did recover plenty of small mid-conductive lead and brass on my outing with tracking engaged.  Give it a shot and report back with your thoughts.

I read that too on another forum. XP stated that each frequency in FMS mode would require individual GB and they stated NO.
