Upgraded My D2 Shaft Assembly.

I just received my new carbon fiber shaft assembly today from Steve's Detector Rods. You talk about a fine piece of equipment with some excellent workmanship. I'm super impressed and very pleased with my investment. I look forward to getting it out in the field and not having to worry about my $1,600 detector falling over in the dirt and mud :-) Big shout out to Steve for his excellent customer service and his craftsmanship. You can tell a lot of thought went into this beauty.

XP could learn from this, how to make a detector that can stand on it's own two feet.  I would buy one of these if It were viable where I live for my XP Deus 1.  It looks great.

Congratulations Dan! 👍

Sure is impressive. I put the 13" on mine and haven't taken it off. Balances well and I can swing it all day. Even with the big coil it doesn't fall over much.

I think I told another user that lining up the RC and coil is easy, lay it on the floor, the "V" in the coil is there to help you line up. Loosen the camlock and lengthen it to what you like, lock it and check. You can make the 13" or 11" coil feel like it's "floating" by shortening the lower a bit, you'll feel it when it's right.

It's also really easy to keep clean.

Great creation, worth every penny. 🙂

That's great. Everything is carbon fiber.

I just upgraded mine also. I added the Nokta Legend Carbon fiber lower rod $35.00 and added a small piece of ABS to the armrest so mine doesn't fall over either.

It looks much nicer with the antenna wire inside the shaft. I'm surprised Xp didn't do that.
