  1. Gerry, Yes it does say Antique on the crushed version as well. Identicle to the uncrushed cap. The Paul Jones Bottle pictured, I believe, is prepro. Pre Prohibition..
  2. Here’s one. Although a clear tone I questioned digging it. The target turned out to be a Four Roses tin whisky cup from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. My wife found one in great condition on eBay with the original bottle.
  3. If primarily a water hunter you may want to consider the 920i Stealth as it’s wider than the 720i and it may be easier to grab your underwater target. On damp/wet sand and dry sand hunting, the deeper basket on the 720i Stealth seems perfect.
  4. Two dealers that have been exceptional for purchase are: 1. Bart at bigboyshobbies.com 2. Wayne at metaldetectingstuff.com and I wouldn’t hesitate purchasing from: 3. Gerry at gerrysdetectors.com
  5. Yes, a very hard question to answer. The Deus is an awesome detector for the field and relics. I hunt the beach so I love the Equinox in that environment. If you love the tones of the Nox then my suggestion is to go for what you love and is more appealing to your ears. If your brother already uses the Deus, then if you have the Equinox, you guys can check each other’s targets to change things up. The Equinox is a lot less expensive and the 800 has great resale value so if it wasn’t for you then you could easily sell it for almost what you have into it. Good Luck Odin!

  13. When I wore a platinum wedding band I didn’t care for the way it looked after awhile. When scratched, it kind of reminded me of steel pipe or tarnished S.S. May be Platinum. Hard to tell. Cool ring, good luck!

  22. That is cool not having to tape your coins to a painter’s paddle so you can wave it in front of the coil. Lol! Target tones are much better through the headphones. There are subtle ways to hear those bottle caps. Sometimes they have an edginess to the tone as the coil passes over the target. I’m not sure about the difficulty in depressing the buttons on the HP’s but I’ll check them and get back to you on that.
