  1. That's the easiest site to use I've seen, THANKS! Need to find out how to toggle between imagery and lidar, rtfm. got it!
  2. Well I've been at it the last few days and It's working fine. Depending on program and the frequency my sensitivity is 17-25 depending on location. I hit a beach volleyball court today and found a cheap watch and earring. It's not to trashy but lowered sens to 16 quickly search for fresh drops and was good. Water is high/fast bottom slants to much to really wade but found a washed out spot that i pulled a sand encrusted quarter and a penny that were 10" deep. Chased a bottle cap with gold foil that had to be a foot down, I"m a sucker for those! Thanks everyone
  3. Are the legend controls easy to navigate? I'm thinking of trading my out of warranty EQ 800 in for a new one but the Legend pro pack is interesting for sure.
  4. If the weather and my knee hold out I'll hit a river beach that should be EMI quiet tomorrow . Thanks for the help everyone.
  5. M/N's kick! Let the stock bolt get loose and every time you work the bolt you push the action forward . then fire it and it has a head start at your shoulder/manhood.
  6. He thinks his prob was just batteries were draining fast and he has to keep them on full charge. Will keep an eye on battery and see if this is my problem.
  7. I got info from a guy that had the problem with both 600 he bought new and an 800 he was given. Will check back and get more info. He is a youtube gut but really put the time in and is believable. I noise cancel constantly and ground balance as well where it's bad. It just is worse since mid 2021. I broke out my old Tesoro compadre and it is doing fine at home and it was a great lightning detector 😀 Nagant is close to my last name and i had a few but sold/traded them. The M91/59 Carbine i sold was the stupidest thing i ever did. Well it was close.
  8. Battery lasts longer then i do for sure. But i am lowering sensitivity more then ever. Tried 10hrz in yard and it was OK, took a break and it was opposite. 10hrz was hot and multi worked at about 18-19 sens. Waiting for my knee to let me venture away from the house, surgery. I did directional drilling and know how to keep things dry. And i never dunked my nox, all wading. I never really bought into the long term submersible use, get a real dive unit if that's your thing.. Not sure whats golng on but a battery swap is worth a try. And might trade in on a new one.
  9. I have a old EQ, out of warranty. Seems i have more EMI problems the last year or so. Been told a battery swap might fix this. I see them for sale for around $30 bucks but haven't looked at them seriously. Battery life seems fine but if i can reduce EMI problems it would be worth it. Anyone been thru this? thanks
  10. Maybe these exist already. Wireless headphones that can take an occasional dunking while wading, pinpointer that pairs with the wireless headphones. How about an update for deep American silver as long as were doing regional tweaks. "This new 4 kHz frequency enhances the detection of large deep targets, particularly those found in parts of Asia."
  11. Those coins evaded capture long enough! I see you had a tesoro golden umax too. I sold mine about two years ago. That was the first detector i really got to know and had lots of fun with.
  12. i lost my M/L phones last year and bought the miccus and had no problems. How did i lose them? I'll chalk it up to first year off the leash syndrome.
  13. cool, never seen that one. i still use an old Gillette bottom twist.
  14. old and only made for 23 years if wiki is correct, great find.
  15. Spend a couple hours on the back porch with the sensitivity turned down and practice all the basic moves. i still get confused exiting out of some settings.
  16. I agree, as a old tesoro knob twister I would be lost without this forum.
  17. Ordered the book too. Would love to attend one of his camps but for the Equinox. In eastern iowa so from Madison Wis to Des Moines IA And Peoria Ill to Rochester MN would work?
  18. At one spot i hit park2 is noisy over sens 16-18 but park1 works much better and can up the sensitivity to 20-22 . Will try the N/C on the ground, some great tips here thanks.
  19. Nice find! Heard a story that con men would sell weighted sets of these to bartenders (one all ways landed on take) then a week or to later his partner would come it with his own set and clean house.
  20. never tried them but was wondering about the sound. looked these up but seem to be discontinued.
