I’m Stumped On A Find

Does anyone know what coin or token this is?  Found in US.

Just figured it out. New Jersey copper!  Solid 93 on the D2 under an 8” thick foundation stone

Thank you. I’m still amazed I found this. What’s interesting about this coin is that it has a small rectangular hole in it just like the 1804 half cent I found a while ago not far from this spot. I’m assuming they were made into buttons.

Actually what they did was use a square nail to make a hole in it so that it could be sewn into clothing or kept on a string. Pockets had holes, and scalawags and brigands were everywhere😀
