One of my favorite types of prospecting is sluice and panning. No  loud motors, no beeping and buzzing detectors just the sound of the river and nature in general.

Anyway, thought I would post some pictures. Not a real big haul, but for the six -  three gallon buckets I ran -  I am happy.

Nothing much prettier than seeing gold in the sluice box!  Hearing the river and not a motor is great too.  If I could pull in just a 5th of an ounce a day working 5 days that would be more money than I make working the job I am doing right now.

Nice....I think I'll be doing some of that when I get home from the slope.

Funny how the gold always looks bigger in the sluice than in the pan.

I did find the location with the new Makro Gold Racer, picked up three flakes maybe 1/10 gram. So small  that I had to scoop the dirt and pan it to retrieve the gold.

Pin pointer is in the shop wore a hole rite thru it.
