Help On Use For This Coil 16 Inch Coil Fit What Machine?

Even in those days they had good ergonomics and balance.  I miss Whites as they once were under Ken.

There's plenty of old Whites catalogues on Sven's Treasurelinx site, you'll likely find it listed in one of them. I assume late 1970's ?

The antenna looking thingy is a stud and there are two of them. The lower rod had two holes instead of the swivel like we have now. The studs went through the lower rod and fastened the coil to the rod with wing nuts.

I really enjoy checking out the vintage detectors, but I've never seen a coil mounted like that. Not even in the Whites vintage brochures.

Scroll down to the Coinmaster 1, 2, 3 Beat Frequency Manual and in the second or third paragraph of the manual it tells how to mount the coil.

I'm just as surprised by the way the coil mounts, as I am that Garrett makes available the old White's manuals. By Garrett doing so, is a respectful "tip of the hat" to Whites 🙂
