Welcome PH69, You made it this far, Don't be shy. Tell us a little more about yourself and what you use and detect for most of the time. DP is a great site and full of some awesome people. I'm sure all of us want to see your tag name more than just once or twice. Pretty sure you made a great choice with the forum and certainly I'm looking forward to your questions and posts.

Not sure how to navigate here yet but have been reading alot of good info. As afar as a gold detector, I started out with an Extreme and progressed up to a 4500. Still my main weapon tho I have a 6000 coming when they hit the states. Sooo looking forward to less weight n no cord. I've ran with external speakers for years so that'll be a bit less weight on my hydration pack..... gettin very excited for new freedoms with great results.

Welcome to the forum, and please share some of your stories with us.

What type of equipment are you using and what part of the country are you in ?

Good luck and happy hunting!

I am currently using a 4500 with the camo 14x9 coiltek elliptical mono. I also have a monster but don't use it much because my buddy uses his monster mostly and it works out good for us to tag team an area.

      Hello folks.
A few days ago we (the wife, the dog and me) vacationed and my wife took some images. Hope you all can enjoy some days off this year to a place you can relax.
All the Best to you all and stay safe and healthy.

Hi Goldpanner Here. I created the UKGPA as firstly a forum where people could discuss Panning and also to meet up (We did have 2 great trips to France) and also to try and put forward a solid basis for discussion with the Authorities who wanted to limit or even ban panning. Due to ill Health I had to back away from the Forum and did indeed pass it over to Julie and Dave and they did a great job, untill certain people from other forums and those against panning etc decided to create havoc on it. Julie and Dave then simply shut it down as they were unable to control the scumbags. It was a quite active group with panning trips organised in the UK and also France and also a place where panners could get decent unbiased info and also by decent cheap equipment (including my Supersluice)
So, after some serious health problems, including more recently two bouts of Covid I am once agin up on two legs and looking forwards to returning to Panning In France and Spain in 2022. If anyone wants to contact me I have a facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/gold.panner.1650/ and would be happy to chat with anyone, maybe even here.
So good luck and good health to everyone detecting and panning

Hi all. Long time listner, first time poster.
Rather than a rambling introduction I have a Question. It appears I am in the market for a new detector. I have an original Fisher Gold Bug in an honest "new condition", I love it and never thought I would part with it but.... do you think it would be an easy sell, or perhaps none wants these old antiques? What would be a fair price?
Only reason for me to sell it would be to fund a Gold Bug DP....if I go that route, may go for the Minelab Vanquish 540 and keep the GB.....or maybe couple other detectors I'm mulling over.
Said another way, make me an offer if interested.

Will be in town for the week and may have some time for detecting. Anyone have any time to meet for a hunt or leads for relics/silver coin possibilities? Thanks
