  1. the very sensitivity of the detector that works in the beach mode / salt elimination mode / is, as Steve says, a very difficult task .. Detector in the Beach program / wet salt sand ,, and sea water / because it loses sensitivity to very small objects ... On dry sand or in fresh water you can use some terrain program that will be significantly more sensitive to small gold .. Equinox programs -and very smal object sensitivity-Airtest..
  2. Etrac will be the most sensitive to high conductors of the * Dime type on channel 2-3 ,, ,, the most sensitive to small things on channel 10 ,, and an excellent universal reach will be on the channels on various conductors will be on channel 8 ... However, an important feature of Etrac is the use of good settings and a larger reel .. I have 13 "Ultimate" colleague I have 11 "..and of our comparisons 13" is deeper .. Settings ...Ground to neutral .... in lighter terrain it is deeper ...
  3. Some time ago ... I did an oscilloscope at Equinox ... some analysis of his various programs .. But I didn't do the frequency shift analysis ... on different channels ....,
  4. ORX, program Gold1 31.3khz..., REACTIVITY 2.5-3... ...Disc IAR is on 5 ../ 9.5" HF..Elliptical coil /. Disc IAR to 4max / Hf 9"Round coil/... Some direct comparison of Deus II from Orx is also interesting for me ...We will see...
  5. Pretty old and rough Spanish silver ... ,, Congratulations ... "de my parte ".. Chase .... πŸ‘
  6. The Field 2 program of Equinox .. may not be the best for targets under ceramics ,,, better done programs Type 1- Park 1, Field 1, Beach1 .. And just .... the programs Park1, Pole1 and Beach 1 are powerful programs for detection in terrains with a high content of ceramics .. Beach2 is also good but it is weaker in performance ..
  7. GB_Amateur......YES think Right .. it's like / Purple -FFT/.. as you say ... the first peak is 1 low frequency ,,, and the last peak is 2 .high frequency ..... in 2F Multifrequency ... at ETRAC ..πŸ‘ What is important are these ETRAC measurements ... confirmed by testing and practice .. that means channel 10 and is most sensitive to very small coins such as size 1/24 ... while low channels 2-3 will be most sensitive to large silver .. ... A good universal compromise for all types of conductors is .. channel 8 ...
  8. About half a year ago, at the suggestion of a colleague who comes from Expolrer SE, I decided to measure the frequency of each channel on my Etrac, because we are pretty much arguing that the low channel is the most sensitive on a big silver coin ,,, and the high channel will be the smallest gold and silver ... I used an oscilloscope and my receiving measuring probe.., and I measured all the channels from the lowest 1 to the highest 11 on Etrac. I have to say Etrac uses in frequency 2 frequencies ... one low around 3.3 Khz and one high frequency around 22.5Khz./on channels 1 /. ..and by all plus plus time domain .. .. From the measurement I can say a clear difference on the individual channels Etraca is visible mainly at the high frequency which can be shifted on the highest 11 channels somewhere at the level up to 28-Khz .. which is a more significant difference .. like 22.5 Khz on channel number1 .. ... So theoretically 11 channel can be the most sensitive to low conductivity targets ... ETRAC -Channel 1: ------------------------------------------------------ ETRAC Channel 11.
  9. Really.. nice collection of good old Spanish silver. George "TEX ".πŸ‘ ... I type some of your finds for the period of years..1500/1600 ... and then higher ......... such findings not only please..but also motivate them for further detection ... ..... I wish you a successful detection in 2022 ...
  10. Yes you are right,,,πŸ‘,,, ... it was quite strange for me that the weights of your and my European coils are quite different ... America and Australia / New Zeeland.. may be delivering Lite versions of these Coils .πŸ˜ƒ That's why I measured it one more time ... and here's the explanation ... It is possible that I use slightly older versions of these coils ... ,, even Ultimate is very old ...and at that time heavier epoxy fillings were used to wind the coils. ..it is not a secret from time .. coil technology is improved ,, where new coils add lighter epoxy fillings .. and therefore the individual generations of coils may differ .. and at the same time these coils may also have better thermal-mechanical properties ..πŸ‘ An example is the large 15 "Fisher" coil .. which in the latest version weighs significantly less than the old version .. The New Fisher 12 "DD coil.. is also manufactured using modern technology and is therefore very light in terms of its dimensions.πŸ‘
  11. My 7x11 "DD coil for Teknetics G2 .... weighs with coil cover and cable 510 grams .. 13 "Ultimate coil for G2 .... with coil cover and cable weighs 556 grams .... ....But another important element is the placement of the coil holder ... which also has a strong effect on the overall balance of the coil on the detector .. when sweeping..also handling the detector. .And that is really good with Ultimate ... The new 12 "DD Fisher coil .... has the handle moved more to the center of the coil ... so the overall balance of this new coil compared to the old 11" DD coil will be much better ... if we add 3 ounces less to it .. We will deliver a coil that will be excellently handled and detected because the detector will be better balanced and also lighter in weight... But let's admit one thing ... Fisher's coil-- of width 9-12 "DD ... what I consider to be a powerful standard coil today ... has simply been missing for quite a long time ...
  12. Steve..you are right that apart from the coil, we were waiting for something more .. for example for a new detector ...πŸ‘ On the other hand, I was simply pleased until the end of the old year ... they found more detailed information about the new 12 "DD coil ... What pleased me is that the new 12"DD coil.. is 100 grams lighter, than the old 11 "DD coil.., and the size itself, which is 9x12" in the coil.., puts it in the category of deep-performing spools - something that Fisher's long years lacked ... The progressive shape of this coil is interesting in this coil - because the front part has a width of only 7 ", which will help to improve the separation when using the front part of the coil for better separation of the target.
  13. ...Here is new information about the new 12 "DD coil from Fisher...πŸ‘
  14. Very nice separation tests mh9162013...πŸ‘ ......I think .. that Tesoro in combination with concentric coils ,, works very well in 2D type separation .. Nailboard test ..., sometimes just excels ... ,,, 2 years ago .. I was in the garden where my test field is located with the Tesoro Mojave -7 Precision coil "until then" the last coin. many years with all my detectors .. but for the last about two years no detector has found a coin target there anymore .. yes I found it .. some will non- ferous small items- .. but not a coin .. Only this year I found another 2 coins .. while testing the new detectors INTRONIK and ATREX ........ INTRONIK found 1 nice signal ..- which I marked with a wooden stick at that time. frozen ... ,, about 3-4 weeks when I tested ATREX in 3D separation test rooms, I moved to the best separation settings ... part of the garden .. and I came across another goal ... which turned out to be a coin in the depth of about 6 "-7 near iron nails ..., and then I checked the place that I marked a wooden stick a month ago .. and Atrex .. also detected this target as a non-ferrous target ....the target was similarly located at a depth of about 7" between iron .. when I was making a colleague's short video like ..prototype Atrex -23cm DD coil..on this software .. he is working on iron-soiled terrain on my settings .. I still had no idea .. that I was locating the place of the second coin ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In this Picture, coins are excavated .. as well as nails that were located around the targets .. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now we come to the main ...πŸ‘ I believe that more modern and technically advanced detectors with excellent separation and depth properties can find other masked targets even in heavily traversed detected terrain ... but let's not forget that Tesoro detectors in combination with a suitable concentric coil can also detect which detectors can detect. detectors that have DD coils .. Here is my Tesoro Mojave in the standard Monte Nailboard Performance Test ... which I did some time ago .. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next time he did a similar test but with a coin placed 1 inch deeper ...../mh9162013 style/ and we will see what the results will be .... with coils 7 precicion CC and 5.75 "CC ..πŸ‘
  15. Congratulations to you on really nice silver coins .. and gold ......... Zincoln πŸ‘.... Welcome to DP Forum ... Your beautiful finds .... experiences from detection ... ,, and also Opinions on detection technology are always interesting and very instructive for me .... Much luck in further detection ..πŸ‘.
  16. For Correct coil operation ..for not too functional V-Rated coil you can use the Spectra V3 "Signal Probe" function ... and try to fine-tune such a coil with a piece of ferrite or non-ferrous metal ... The task here is simple .. .... it is necessary to reduce the% - percentage value of the signal using the !Signal Probe function" ... to an acceptable level - for RX Gain 15 ... It's also a "small reverse engineering" from my tent ...- I thought of doing it .. when I bought a coil that had very bad V -Rated parameters ..- now this coil now works well with RX Gain 15 ...πŸ‘
  17. I still had the impression that the ATX electrical unit itself with batteries .. it has an emotionally more or less acceptable weight .... even though it is quite massive and fully waterproof ... and it looked more like the weak spot is simply harder to beat the rods are connected with a coil ... So I found the time..and considered both parts separately .. The impression did not deceive me ... The ATX main unit itself also weighs less than 1.6kg from the battery .... and on the contrary, the coil itself with a set of rods is already heavier than the 1.6kg/it's exactly 1.69 Kg!/ ,,, -may it is conditioned by the military tactical use of ATX from the smoother good compactness and durability ... detector .... I think that in the event of an ATX upgrade it would be very helpful to make it a bit longer .. but lighter in weight and ... only a 2-piece rod system that is more suitable for civilian use of this detector ... Of course, putting the ATX main unit in a backpack ..is one of the easy and very good options ... how to deal with a certain overweight ATX .... especially when using infinium coils ...
  18. Merry Christmas Steve ... I wish you good health and happiness ... especially ... and also a peaceful and beautiful survival of these days ...πŸ‘πŸŽ„πŸŽ... I also wish the members of the Forum Detector prospector ... I believe that everyone ... Santa brought some nice gift, which you deserve ...πŸŽ„πŸŽ.πŸ‘ PS...I also believe that Santa didn't forget about a certain member of the forum ... "Simon" /Phrunt/ ... from New Zeeland .. and immediately brought him some nice gifts ..πŸ‘πŸŽπŸŽπŸŽ„.🎁.
  19. I decided .... I did not sell my detectors, because many of these models retain a certain philosophy of detection-preferences- determined by the manufacturer ... who made them./ Tesoro, Deeptech, Whites, Fisher, Garrett, Minelab, XP, Rutus, Golden Mask, and AKA / ..... and most of them are excellent detectors in their class ,, / Top Class / ..... they are simply detection standards .. ,, and they also brought me very nice finds ... also memories from detection ..πŸ‘ In the maximum case, I exchanged some of my detector with a colleague for another ... that suits me better ... However, I know one thing if I have to buy another new detector .. she will have to really convince me that it is really much better than what I have ... not by individual% ,, but by tens of% ..πŸ†. We'll see ... I believe that further progress in improving detection is possible ...πŸ‘ ....
  20. Greetings Oregon GreggπŸ‘,,, I am glad that you are successful in detection with the new 7 "coil ... ,, because the advantage of the MXT detector is that it can be on coils 7" and 6x8 "Sef reel really very deep ,,, and still also excellently separates .., ...this year I bought 7 " size coils for other detectors // specifically for GM4 and Alter / Atrex //,, where they turned out to be very effective as well and brought me some nice finds ....
  21. A very important element in various detector separation tests.. / type Steve .., Monte .., Carl .., Calabash .., Abenson .., David TnS., Sube /, ,,, is to find out how fast we can sweep the coil over the tested target. to successfully detect the tested target .... This is perhaps one of the main findings of such testing ... It is a very valuable lesson .. which you gain by testing such detectors. Because some detectors prove the same test even with faster sweeping the coil .... and other detectors you need to slow down the sweeping reasonably to achieve the best results..that you can get from the brand of the detector .. Of course, there are detectors that have different technical limits .. and so they get poor results in tests ... even when slowly sweeping the coil ... and here we can say that the detector certainly has shortcomings in the type of separation ... And that's why, in a given terrain, you will also find other valuable targets with a separation-better detector or coil ... which have so far been masked by iron when using a separation-less good detector ... Adjust the style and speed of sweeping to achieve the best results in the separation .. ,, in the iron-polluted terrain where you expect still well items.. found ...
  22. Monte's Nailboard test ..I consider one of the excellent tests for surface separation of the type / 2D / non-ferrous shallow object in the surface climbing iron ... such a "Monte nailboard" test revealed very quickly whether you have a correctly set detector for this type of separation ... but they also revealed such a test .. how the tested detector and coil ... can handle a given situation ... The size of the coil also plays a big role in such a test .... a smaller coil allows to achieve better results in such a test ..., on the other hand to achieve good results in the test using 11 "coil size requires a separation good detector, together with optimal we set up for such a 2D separation test .. The important settings in this test are: 1. high Frequency used / weighted multifrequency / is better .. 2. High recovery speed is better.. 3 .. Very low settings Iron bias / silencer / is better.. In this test of Equinox vs Legend, I'm concerned that Equinox used a high Iron bias setting, which was a sign of the Equinox separation. In my tests Equinox achieves better results ....
  23. You're right Steve ,, reprogramming * HF coils ... yes theoretically it's possible ... and it should work .... but I have the impression that XP will continue with Deus II with Multifrequency coils ... For me, as one of the options I consider as further updating and modernizing my ORX..is to buy headphones * WS6 and one of the multifrequency coils Deus II .... and make Deus 2 lite .. as an economically acceptable alternative .... .
  24. White Xp deus HF coils ..are not multifrequency ... ,, and they are not fully waterproof ... and in Deus II these coils will not work .. ,, I think we can expect Xp to develop new white coils wich will be designed for Deus II ... ...since I have 2 xp Orx with white HF coils, so I was also interested in this question ...
