  1. Ran the machine all day in 5khz mode all metal and deep mode and the battery is still on max!!! That was an 8 hour run + what ever hours I had used it on my AT Pro as I haven't charged it since. Will run it down and see how long I get out of it.
  2. A high end jeweler can give you a real price on the value of jewelry, think they charge in the ballpark of $100 to have diamonds GIA certified.. With that I believe you can then sell the ring in that ball park. Most coin/jewelry/hobby shops and many low end jewelers will give scrap price and often a fraction of that as they like to make a marginal 400%+ markup lol
  3. Looks like a stuck button or short in the button. Try clicking it a few times and see if it fixes it.
  4. If you get bored you can always do a seeded hunt there, no? Nice video!
  5. Did a run today but tossed in the RnB Power Pack Plus from my AT Pro into my Multi Kruzer's external back up battery case with label side up and it works perfectly. So for those looking for an extra rechargeable battery for their Kruzer series or Amphibio the RnB is a good choice. Has a really long run time and should save beating up the internal battery that comes with the machines.
  6. Best looking v-nickel so far. Congrats and welcome to the v-nickel club!
  7. Extension cable is a good idea. I contacted Switchcraft who made the connectors for Tesoro and they confirmed ones used on the delta coils is a custom connector for Tesoro and no longer available. Had ambitions of building myself a waterproof lobo.
  8. I would scout all small ring sized targets and use your pinpointer to find it. Should be on top No need to dig anything.
  9. You should do well with it. The 8"x9" is a fantastic coil for trashy parks here, thinking the smaller one might be better and have steel bottle caps discrim even lower. Not sure if you can find the 10x12 widescan, I use that for fields and do very well with it.
  10. RnB makes a solid product, have one of their battery packs for my Garrett and have no complaints. Does that 14 volts give you more depth?
  11. 3rd large cent from same area. Similar to the other but no readable date.
  12. Trouble for me making any coils for the Tejon is as most detectors have custom connectors not available to the public.
  13. Welcome! You looking to build your own ib or pi machine?
  14. Do you make that coil for the Kruzer series or Tesoro Delta series?
  15. I'm not on that forum, was just curious.
  16. I noticed the battery holder for the external case uses 4 aa batteries and is identical to the ones used by Garrett. That same setup and side is the RnB battery for the AT series machines so guessing it should be fine. On the AT Pro I get nearly 40 hours on a single charge with the RnB.
  17. One my beefs with the Kruzer is the battery life in the Multi Kruzer especially in low frequencies even though you get close to a full day run time it is nice not have to recharge every time your done. I went and got the external battery for it which balances the machine even better but also noticed they use the same battery pack as the Garrett AT series detectors. I think I will use my RnB litho battery on it to see how long it lasts and see if the battery life indicator shows battery life (something the standard rechargeable lithium batteries don't do). Should work as the voltage is the same, has anyone tried this before?
  18. Curious how the ground balance range effects emi though.
  19. Wow, last thing you need is talk radio subtly converting you into some sort of fanatic while trying to relax and dig. Wonder if you could make an emi shield of some sorts and cover the control box? I thought about something like that for my Tejon.
  20. I did want to add, it might not be emi causing the instability but maybe the soil itself so decreasing the sensitivity may not decrease the usable depth of the machine. If I blast my Kruzer in some areas in certain modes it will chatter so much because it is detecting too much of the ground and very difficult to ground balance. I find it just too hard to follow targets good and bad and have polluted id #s as a result. Nudging the gain down the targets are easier to reveal. Before I had my beach machine I used to use my AT Pro and the salt would drive it crazy. I learned that pushing a machine to try to gain depth when it is beyond the machines ability in certain conditions can be counter productive. You could bury a few targets at different depths and see what might work better. Usually EMI is easy to overcome especially when you have a wide range of frequencies to choose from like the one you have.
  21. Lower frequencies work better on deep silver but lower it is the harder it is to split out the iron. I do hunt in 5 khz on my Kruzer in Gen Mode (all metal) with a good deal of success but need to work slowly. Very gratifying when you pick out a dime below a big chunk of iron and watching VDI to see any # that is above the iron as an indicator of a masked object. Mid range 14khz works easier and little depth loss. Is there a lot of transformers causing the EMI? One spot I had been hitting has a generator running for a school on one side, nursing home across the street with it's generator, transformers on the 2 roads as it's on a corner and if that wasn't enough there is a nearby cell tower. My poor Tejon just flutters and is nearly unusable.
  22. That dime looks like it was in a hit and run! Congrats on the Barber, thats in fantastic shape
