  1. Less complicated to make, cheaper to ship! And if they are paying attention to all the complaints about the one's that don't work well on the market, They could take a nice marketshare, and increase there R&D spending!(a little more!) JMO! My main pinpointer that I love (Treasure Products Vibra-Probe 585), and have used for nearly seven years, has been practically indestructible! But still works great! No buttons, no adjustments, no speaker, vibrate only, and good to nearly 100 ft., but rarely goes any more than five feet deep! Works for me!! Apparently, I am one of the few using one!!?πŸ€” . I did send NoMak my list of names just for fun! If I get a free one out of it, or not, I'm good!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  2. Oxygen speeds oxidation in most all organic and inorganic materials! While different soils, clay's, and slits with various moisture levels, have their own preserving, or oxidizing effects! Ph, ozone, and minerals also play key rolls! But oxygen is the main culprit!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  3. Yep, same here! It was a Family Day, with a little fishing off the dock! But I was thinking detecting, while fishing! Probably explains why there was no catching!🐟🚫 I'll have to subdue those thoughts today, as I have some plumbing to do, and don't want a leaky mess later!πŸŒŠπŸš«πŸ‘πŸ‘
  4. Yep, The beaches don't do it to me, but alot of turf digging on two knees does it every time; trying to be neat, and not leave obvious dig spots! And I really understand wanting to dig older stuff! I'm "jealous" of most any place with history! What little is here has been covered with buildings, condos, asphalt, and renurishment sand! Gets depressing sometimes, if I think to much about it! But it really makes me appreciate my occasional out of county/state trips!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  5. Great job, Did you get "Detector Legs" yet! It's that one or two day leg pain from the lactic acid buildup in the large muscle groups of the legs from digging so many targets! "The price of success!" When I get it, (not often enough) I walk like Frankenstein! You won't find this in any dictionary! That's just my definition!😁 Now, the hunt for a coin converter that doesn't charge you 7-9% to cash in your bounty! There is still a national coin shortage from covid, so you may be in luck, after you check your coins!πŸ€£πŸ‘πŸ‘
  6. That's ok!🦘 Just give us the invite, so we can get another day's free pass with you mates! We'll do the same! But your gold is much better! We can't fix that here!πŸ€£πŸ‘πŸ‘
  7. Good Day All, Have a Great Father's Day!πŸ†πŸ» The only day of the year that we get a legitimate grief free day to detect! Well, some of us anyway!!🀯🀣 πŸ’πŸ’°πŸ“ΏπŸ€ πŸ‘πŸ‘
  8. So, that's the coin I saw a picture of!!😁 Very nice! The guilt will fade, since you were forgiven! "Friends Before Fortune" And may it always stay that way after!!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  9. Sorry to hear that F350, Your welcome to hang your hat in Florida anytime, to treat at least one aspect of Raynauds! But your stress may increase, and your target ages, and choices will decrease, depending on location! I'm curious to know what the river problem is!? I've heard of issues relating to bites from black flies, like river blindness! I've led a relatively "sheltered" life living in Florida forever! I think you've got it right with the RVing! Have hat, will travel!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  10. I'm out of likes, again!! But good haul! Good call not exposing the foot injury, no need to risk getting a flesh eating bacteria! More common than people hear about! Circulation in our hands, and especially our feet suffers more as we age, prolonging normal healing! Even scraps need watching! ☠ πŸ‘πŸ‘
  11. πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€. πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  12. Awsome permission!! That place could keep you busy for a long time! Decisions!!, decisions!!; for cherry picking the best spots, with the time you have there! As Dog recently posted, "Life is Good"!! Good Luck!!πŸ‘‘πŸ“ΏπŸ’πŸ’° πŸ‘πŸ‘
  13. Hey Dog, I feel ya on the house and yard work! It's been taking waaayy too much of my time lately! But man, when you get out, you really hit some homer's! Your "Life Is Good", you lucky devil you!! πŸ‘πŸ‘
  14. JP, You should have never told us that tidbit of information!! I now dub thee AP!!πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  15. Ok, so was all that trash from ONE hunt?? I sure hope not, for your back's sake😫!! I'm gonna borrow that pic (with your permission) for my local politicians!! Next time I show them all the "damage" we do to the environment, metal detecting!!🀣 Here's my "inferior" pile from this morning!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  16. Great advice Steve! Don't know if I will ever get the time to be a prospecting "newbie"! Still got plenty to master here where I am with general detecting! But I've learned enough on the forum to know that a first attempt would be lessons, first and foremost! And most likely several, from a few different people, who are successful at it!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  17. I just wanted to revisit this subject again, and see if anyone had something new to add! I'm not familiar with lakes too much here! (All private or county property!) But intercostal waterways, and beaches in front of residences, up to at least the high water mark, should be fair game! (Historic areas excluded)! Under docks is still state property! The docks are built and/or owned by the property owner for the most part! But the "land" they are built on with permit, is state controlled, and taxpayer owned! Like anything else, there are always exceptions, getting a clear answer is near impossible, and the "law of the day" seems to rule! Back to the risk/reward factor I try to always use! Generally not worth the fight! Legal or otherwise! Always somewhere else to detect without the hassle, or bad press!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  18. Time and gravity; it all gets back in the ground eventually! πŸ‘πŸ‘
  19. As with cleaning "some" finds! White vinegar, dish soap, salt, and household peroxide in varying combinations, or individually, or dilute, can work wonders on invasive plants, and bugs! Especially since you're not spraying your lawn or yard plants! Diluted essential oils are an even safer option, if that's the way you want to roll! Like peppermint and cedarwood oils! They also kill, and repel bugs; but to a lesser extent and duration than chemical pesticides! Like anything these days, most recipes and ingredients can be found online! Not that you, and other's don't already know this part! 😁 Just FYI for all!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  20. There are also "all natural" homemade recipes for both problems, but they take longer to work, and may not last as long! But tend to be cheaper! And that turtle was cool! I've only seen sea turtles lay eggs!!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  21. If your concentrating on one area you really like, if it's not objectionable to anyone, a pump sprayer with the correct additives, may solve the tick and poison Ivy problem for a spell!? The wildlife; including you, will be happy to have a tick/poison ivy free zone for awhile! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘
  22. Yeah, maybe i should have tried that first! Don't text and nap kids!πŸ€―πŸ˜‚ Thanks Chase!πŸ‘πŸ‘
