So The Beach Hunts Start Again
Joe D. replied to schoolofhardNox's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Another great report(s) and finds! Nice to see that the M-core is working into your lineup well! With a little "PI inspiration" from you and others, I recently changed my beach lineup as well, with a couple of PI's! Been running a TDI SL & Miner John 7.5x12 coil, with much improved depth, over my 800! And also got a Tesoro Sandshark to back it up in the wet stuff! Don't know if they can compete with the GPX, but they were considerably cheaper!!π€ Still gotta do some mods to the TDI, to squeeze out even more depth! Than hopfully find your kind of spots to "pillage"!π΄ββ οΈ (F350 term)!!ππ€π Keep up the good work!!πππ -
Homemade Stainless Steel Plug Popper
Joe D. replied to Dcraun's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Sorta reminds me of the plugger i used to use on the golf course I once worked at! I like it; and possibly even better with the few mods mentioned above!! Nice work!!πππ -
Sharing A New Permission
Joe D. replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Glad you got out with Chase! It's much easier to get a high five for a good find, when you have a friend along!π Your a lucky man, in more ways than one!! Love the old celler hole! Maybe a hidden stash amongst the brickwork?π€ Keep up the good work!! π€πππ- 17 replies

M8 & M15 Coils Price And Availability?
Joe D. replied to Ringtail's topic in Minelab Manticore Forum
And although very good detectors! (I have two models)! Another reason I'm in no hurry to buy MineLab again! With their customer responses, or lack of them, it's not a good business model to stick with! I don't know if they have always been appearingly "indifferent" to customers timing/requests?, but they appear slow on the uptake, for whatever reason!! But thankfully, there's three other companies out there, that seem more responsive, IMO!!ππ -
So The Beach Hunts Start Again
Joe D. replied to schoolofhardNox's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Not only that, but any critics of the 5000 on the beach ain't saying much either; you've proven it's worth, time and again!! (but it's still a beast to wield)!πͺππ -
His name says it all!! PI Man!! πππ

So The Beach Hunts Start Again
Joe D. replied to schoolofhardNox's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Well, #20 wasn't quite what I described previously, but well done just the same!π Glad to see the Manti is working out for you! May the luck, and nice finds continue!πππ -
ππ€£π, GB, I forgot all about that! I'm LMAO, all over again!!! Caleb, you should repost that story again!! It was awsome!π And an update on how those coins are doing!!π¦¨π³ππ

Treasure waits for no man; or woman! Especially one with a honey-do list as long as mine!πππ

Oh yeah, the $50 Billion bailout to shore up the Mexican banks! That worked out well!π Cool looking coin though!π Looked like a tannened half from a distance! And a bunch more digging! What numbers did that ring up on the D2?? Way fewer nickels this time; running a different program, other than "silver slayer"? Was that aluminum bench hard to dig up? At least you found something to "support" your finds!π₯πππ

24 nickels by my count, and a nice amount of quarters! If it's hitting the nickels that hard, than some gold "ladyfinger" rings shouldn't be far behind! Nice job!! You guys can train me on it, when I get a good price on a used one!!ππππ

So The Beach Hunts Start Again
Joe D. replied to schoolofhardNox's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Beach hunt #20! Left the Manticore in the car! No need for it today, as there was a carpet of silver coins across the beach, with gold jewelry in between, laying on the surface.... π΄π I'm awake; I'm awake dear!! A little treasure dreaming never hurts!! Better luck on #20!ππ°πππ -
Drone detecting?π€ Think I saw something like that on Discovery Channel!! Maybe that was Lidar i'm thinking of!?πππ

An Underwater Pinpointer With Coil?
Joe D. replied to Northeast's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Yes, vibrate only, auto shutoff after one minute, and/or tilt on/off! Takes one 9 volt, and no switches or buttons to go bad or leak! Battery will last a long time too! Been using my original one, going on 8 years now! Bought two hardly used ones on Ebay for about $50 each last year, as backups!πππ -
An Underwater Pinpointer With Coil?
Joe D. replied to Northeast's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
I like and have the Nokta, and all three attachments! But my Treasure Products 585 is a beast, and comes in three configurations! Just not in one package, like the Nokta!!ππ -
Eight days is pretty hardcore!! But I get it! Gotta hit the sand, while conditions are good! Sometimes its days, other times it hours! Totally unlike land hunting, where items can be static for hundreds of years! I'll repeat; great haul!π₯³ And I'm sure you're body is paying for it now!π΅ Ibuprofen is a detectorists best friend after days like that! Keep on that EOY gold target!! It's painful but still doable!!πππ

Great job Gerry! Your a "nugget" of a man, and salesman!!πππ

First Gold Ring For The Year And The Inevitable Happened
Joe D. replied to The Seeker's topic in Metal Detecting For Jewelry
Yes, from what I was told by a dealer! Only Manticore coils are not compatible with the Noxs! But there was another question, about weather the shaft heads themselves, were compatible! I'm guessing yes since the coils are, but stranger things have cropped up with ML, soo...ππ -
First Gold Ring For The Year And The Inevitable Happened
Joe D. replied to The Seeker's topic in Metal Detecting For Jewelry
Been there x3 with the coil ears, but only one on a side each time!!π‘ Send it to them for replacement! See what they say, since they know the defect very well!!! And BTW, that looks like a gold nugget to me! They do turn up occasionally at the beach! Any of the nugget hunters may be able to say for sure! Nice job with the hunt, and temporary coil repair!!πππ -
Help Identifying Potential Platinum Nugget
Joe D. replied to Dringle1122's topic in Rocks, Minerals, Gems & Geology
Welcome to the forum Dringle! I don't know where PNW is, but here on the beaches of the Space Coast, we get different kinds of melted looking blobs, besides aluminum, from exploded rockets! But both Steve and F350 have set you on the right path! You can also take it to a jeweler to identify for you, if your not confident in you testing abilities! You don't have anything for scale, so it's hard to judge size! Good luck in your identification, and I hope it is platinum!!ππ -
