I found a brass ID tag from a one lung marine engine but gave it to the guy that gave permission . I was at my detecting buddy's place !😋

There's another field you two will clean out before I can get there !😵 It's good you can figure out what the finds were though.... So I still "found" out what they were...and my gas mileage was terrific !😉 I just loaded all my gear into the car...and I might be able to get to use it too ! (I think mom has developed psychic abilities , she always calls as soon as I get half way to anywhere to go detecting arrrrrrrrrrgh. Well , except for that time a couple of weeks ago when I made it all the way to the beach and got out the scoop + put my boots on to go down to the sand and there was my detector , GONE ???🙄 Still on the wall in the camper 20 miles away !😢 But I got there so , I guess that counts as a skunk . Cuz pfeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew , It sure did "stink" ! Hey , I'll take it. I DID make it all the way there ! And I stayed for a few minutes for a quick walk down the the water line................ I think I'll ask the maintenance guy at mom's if I can dig up his lawn ! 🤔)

BMc The customer is likely the only quality assurance anymore.. Good guess , I went to tron school back in the 60s ! Some of the musicians called me a "dinosaur" ... But they kept picking me to go on the road. LOL I know everything is solder bath now but still not perfect , not that I am , but I take the time to check as I go under magnification and reheat if needed .

It sounds like a cold solder joint is a possible to me but other faults could display the same symptom.. A tech checkup would make sense. So maybe it just comes back after or maybe they send you a new one. Have somebody run it and check it out before shipping if it is the new one option though.😏 And then no worry about if it's working as it should.

Some day I'll find a spot like that and will stay until I can't hold the scoop anymore ......🤩 Until then, my little finds pouch is VERY light on my belt.👍So , I guess THAT'S a win .....bad back too. (It was all those amp racks , the EAW BH18s and those damn Klipsch W bins that did me in..I got my roadies too late arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr )
