Norvic
On ya, JW, field mushrooms so much flavour compared to the "cardboard" farmed ones Our tropic wet goes hand in hand with mushrooms on toast, peppered, lighly salted and cooked in butter as per your cook up.They are also brilliant pickled raw in a sweet pickle with whole garlic cloves, a feed to die for. Bonus is they grow near gold here also. Now that`s food for thought?

Norvic
Tis the poo whether sheep, beef, rabbit, roo etc that makes em so diff to the farmed ones. We partially cook them to cut their bulk then freeze them for the off season, and of coz pickle them, life`d be no chop without mushis & gold...………….
