It is a term all electric bicycle riders and RC trucks etc are familiar with...

 

I will give you an example.... I had a bike with a 1000 watt Golden motor back hub type..... Instead of running it with a controller and battery pack giving it a 1000 watt drive--

 

I hooked up a bigger controller (40amps) so i could send 62 volts to the motor with 2480 watts driving the electirc motor---THATS overvolting---you have to have a motor that can take it or it wil fry going up hills...

 

 

PS Good call on the meds---I am on a little robaxin ,,, hurt my back picking up a pt the other night...but i dont think it affects me any,,,,lol
