  1. Past hour
  2. I have inquired on the NF 19” for a customer and I was not able to get that size or larger, so maybe someday things will change. I might be going to Australia and will probably leave there three times heavier than I arrived with all the stuff I wish we could get in the U.S. My friend in Canada orders directly through Rohan if you’re willing to pay the shipping though. I’m glad Coiltek does direct sales for this very reason. 😀
  3. They do. I’ve been reading through their commentary. They are pretty certain we are going to be happy. I can’t wait for tomorrow morning. It’s like Christmas is coming.

  5. Dang I wouldn’t have said that to you Steve even if I was thinking it just out of respect to you and this great forum we all enjoy. Chuck
  6. Today
  7. Yeah, I really should keep my mouth shut and will next time. Some dealers may not require a deposit.
  8. Steve on the “I promise you” part of your post you assume too much. I like the idea of a deposit to a point, I’ll have to discuss this with my dealer. Thanks for the feedback
  9. Gezz.... buyer beware. Did you not know all that before you bought it? D4G
  10. With lower priced GPX coils, international shipping can be more than the market price of a coil so selling larger sizes isn't viable. It's why X-coils only sell the larger size GPX coils in their own market, with GPZ coils it's different as they're higher priced so it's easier to incorporate shipping but the GPX coils just don't make sense for them to sell. Shipping a small box is a huge mount cheaper than a large box. It's hard to sell a coil for one price on one country, and double the price or more in another due to the costs of getting the coils there, people don't like that. Take this Nugget Finder 25" coil, $640 AUD, $420 USD, it's going to cost at least half of that to get it to USA, I doubt I could send it there for under 200 USD. The only way is to put stuff on ships rather than air, wait months and hope they arrive so really for the larger sizes to be worth it they'd need a distributor that imports a bunch of them at once via ship, then divvy it out to the dealers, but I'm betting the demand isn't there to do so. You can fit a lot of 12" Z-search coils into a smaller box, which sell for a far higher price and spread out the shipping on them.
  11. Well, I used to be a dealer though I am not any longer. There are two issues. First, those very large coils are not very popular in the U.S. due to smaller gold and far fewer serious prospectors than in Oz. A 25" mono, a dealer might gamble that one person a year buys one. Maybe. Second, shipping coils from Oz is a HUGE issue. It's not like you just order one if you run out of stock - the shipping on a 25" coil is more than the profit on the coil! I was a dealer in Alaska and between the thin margin on the coils and the shipping cost, selling a 25" coil was a breakeven deal at best. The only solution is a large order of coils all boxed and shipped at once, and a dealer might do that just once a year. That one coil on the order runs out, you order one again next year on the next stocking order. These are just examples, but I promise you that you are overestimating what dealers make on these coils and underestimating shipping rates these days. Some bloke in Australia can actually drive to Nugget Finder and get a load of coils if he wants. Does not work that way here. Try ordering a 25" coil from Australia and get a shipping quote for a wake up call. So yeah for very slow moving specialty items you might actually have to place a deposit and make a special order. But if you really want to know any one dealers reasons, try contacting them and asking them. Nugget Finder would not know.
  12. You do got to be careful and know what you’re looking at. You can buy a lot of look a like on Amazon any day of the week. Just go do a search for arrowheads for jewelry on Amazon and you will find some beauty’s. Chuck
  13. Guess I should have been more specific. It’s the coils over the 15 inch round that I haven’t been able to find in stock. I’ve yet to see a 12x24 evo or an 25” mono evo even listed here in the states. Maybe I’m missing it on the web sites? I’m very familiar of who and where to buy NF coils from and who the one and only dealer that Nugget Finder sells to is. So I ask why are the large Nugget Finder coils out of stock? Do they all get bought up, or is it the U.S supplier not ordering them due to them not selling as well? Maybe a email to Nugget Finder is in order.
  14. Double D Leather, probably the most popular GPX/GPZ cover brand in Australia has now come out with the Algoforce set, I must get one soon, but it may not be ideal for me. I use their covers on my 5000, 6000 and 7000 and really like the quality but the design here might not be quite right. These are photos from someone that has one already. Control box, Arm Cuff and Battery covers. The battery cover is particularly beneficial as it folds up at the front protecting the exposed USB ports, combine that with the little rubber covers and it seems pretty good. Less likely to hard bump the USB cord going in too for those with a USB cable poking straight out. It has a hole for the USB cord to come out, with me using a right-angled USB cable I wouldn't even need this hole and would prefer it without it, I'll cover it over with something as my cable runs straight up to the shaft, not out the front. The speaker is quiet enough already so having this cover on it without a sound venting area will probably make it not viable to use speaker, and the cover might be too tight to fit the transmitter many stick to the back of the control pod. Maybe I'm wrong. Quality looks good, just not yet sure on the overall design.
  15. The explorer came out in the late 90s I believe it's been over 26 years. Fisher was the first to come out with dual frequency with the cz5 cz6
  16. I think 20 years is most patents, and they can be extended.
  17. Not to be brand specific here. Self Adjusting Treshold (SAT) basically responds to all types of metals while rejecting ground minerals. The mode has a special feature (electronically) which smooths operation over varied ground while you are swinging your coil. The coil must be in motion in order for it to respond to targets. Threshold is the slight hum that detectorists hear by choice or don't want to hear. Some folks like a silent search. In silent search a target signal must be strong enough to first reach threshold and go beyond threshold in order to be heard by the operator. In theory, some detection depth may be compromised. I keep mine very low while detecting and in increase it when there's alot of outside noise and traffic. You must remember, it is not a volume control. Hope this helps, good luck.
  18. I answered YES to all 3 questions. Now to convince the wife I need another coil after just getting the M8.
  19. I'd like to think you're wrong. Maybe he has a day job and just doesn't have the time to invest in a new detector? The few times I have communicated with him, he has been cordial and professional. I hope that's not the case...
  20. I would prefer that you use an on line translator if possible , because it would take a long time for me to translate the entire article ... Let me know ..
  21. Really enjoying this outfit. Yes, at depth the numbers are jumpy but i go by sound first then check the #s. I think because of the expanded target id range that i will move around more. It up averages deep targets which is fine by me and my brother and i do a lot of comparisons on deep signals and it has the depth capabilities compared to the vanquish and the equinox. My iron ratio is a little higher with the pro than the smf machines but most of the time i can call an iron target but dig it anyways as i have found good targets in the same hole with iron. I like 5 tones and like the tone break on quarters better than the vanquish. On deep silver and wheats, it up averages so you get into the higher tones. I like it.
  22. So did anything happen with this - should this be deleted?
