Good video---i kept waiting for the rain to come rolling in!!!

I just bought these last week at Sierra Trading Post in Reno... The 2300 or 500o didnt have a problem with them and they really felt good...like tennis shoes.. First thing i did was kick some softball sized rocks around with the toes and NO problem....

I had a pair of bates in my hand last sun that were ridiculously light... like 20th Oz per pair

Bates, Converse...5,11 Check out the side zipperd ones Scott... It will make them easier to get on and off... especially when you are talking size 22

i used to use a electromagnetic loop around my neck that sent out a signal to my hearing aides.. that worked pretty good when i was in college because i could put the microphone up on the teachers desk and it transmitted directly to the loop,,,, the point being that i did not have to turn my hearing aides all the way up to hear the teacher ....and in turn catching all the noise of the class between her and i... yes...... i sat in the back row......

OK,,,Battery drain is the main reason i dumped it..... it sucks the juice out of a 9volt in one day...

Nice... i knew it was Rudy when i heard 3000!!!! He stopped to help me with my 3500 one day and within 20 minutes i had popped three nuggets out for a total weight of about 4 dwt!!!!! I dont forget things like that!!!!!

I agree that you are right Barry, and i agree with Steve that it is not worth the trouble to push it...stay clear.. i wish i had enough cash to take on these guys with test cases,,,,,but i wouldnt have time to be mining then. Appreciate both of you for your help.

Professor, I had a complete stranger send me his 600 dollar MXT detector-- All because I asked on a forum if someone had a spare VLF machine ... Anyway, drillerdave sent me this detector out of the goodness of his heart,,, and i sure am friends with him now----he didnt know me from Adam,,, i eventually went ahead and bought it from him--- he said it was just collecting dust anyway----(but it didnt have dust on it when i got it )----- i suspect a good heart, motivated to help others was the real story!!! Hats off to driller dave---many of you know him... ------------------ The MXT is not the greatest gold detector, but if you would like to use it---- i will send it to you,,, i feel like i should follow the example drillerdave showed me.... paul

Norm, I would take the detectors with you to the audiologist and let him take a frequency reading on the tones that the detectors put out---- he should be able to match them up for you.. ***after reading your post i am not quite sure i am getting your drift---dont you just select the tones you can hear and go on with detecting??? Are you having trouble with all tones on GPZ??? ---I got an extra set of teeth if you need to borrow them steve...lol

The biggest drawback for me was the battery drain and falsing my pi detectors... I sent it back and bought a pro pointer from the dealer.

Drinking too much water without potassium and the other electrolytes can also lead to bad things because it flushes the stuff in your body out or else dilutes it,,,, Keep sane---drink fluids the night before, carry some --0-gatorade, some out in the field and take some more at night with some potassium later--- BTW Steve, i had a microbio professor tell me that you would have to eat a banana 6 feet long to replace what you lose in the desert on a hot one.....

Try straight potassium pills --i have to take them because i take a pill to get rid of water---(which makes this whole equation even weirder for me) Ask your pharmacist which potassium caps to buy and don't take more than you are supposed to..... if you still have those cramps in your calves,,,and foot arches you will need to take more, If i sweat too much and don't drink some of that O sugar gatorade or something like that , i will get cramps that start from my groin and go all the way to my arches---- i don't know of anything that is worse to wake up to....man they hurt!!!! And don't forget the old bananas.....

2300, and maybe a Makro Gold racer ,,,,i wonder when they will hit???---- i am thinking seriously about a deepseeker atx package-- but most of all i am waiting for Steve to finish up the ATX Franken detector ----I wanna be a Jr field tester with it---I know you don't have time for it too Steve... 7000 ?????? --------only when i see what the other coils are going to cost.... and besides that,,, i will be high banking when i get bored ..so i can get my color fix,,,,,,,

i use a16 oz water bottle in my back pocket,,,,,as i drink it i squeeze the air out and it fits better as i go along,,, most if you know that it takes a long time for fluids to replenish in your body----it takes a while to get into your cells, so it is most important to be well hydrated before you go out. When i lived in AZ I would always drink a lot of water or gatorade on friday night and skip the alcohol------ alcohol is a bIG cause of dehydration....so load up with good water the night before and you will last longer in the high desert with out having to continually milk one of them nasty bladders....lol Remember when you finally feel like you are overdoing it in desert heat---it may be too late,,,,it is a very rapid process that goes from dehydration to cardiac arrhythmia and death.. Don't you love a nurse/medic!!! hahaha free tip of the day... Ask Rob Allison how it feels....
