Update on dates after some cleaning...now I can tell which is which ! V - 1898 Buff Nic - ?still very iffy but for a second I thought I saw 1916 IHP - 1904 Wheatie - 1911. Checked the shore for the HPs , nope. Also just found out that the septic system that will be covering the whole patch is scheduled for spring of '25 arrrrgh. Today ?cleaning those coins and maybe going over to the track infield where I heard rumors of a seated dug not long ago......

I really don't think I filled in a hole with it inside VL. 🤔 But thx for pointing that out . 😎 I was so psyched from the old coins, I forgot I already found a dozen wheaties last year....a few days left before predicted rain though. Can't wait to clean them up (if possible?). We were on a pretty steep slope at times so still haven't gone all the way to the bottom on the shore , NOT a beach . Will check that later . Still have minimal hope but the backup (540) pair is nice and shiny , even the vinyl parts ! UPDATE: And they didn't work ! even with the charge cord in. They did work this april ...?? (DID work with the TRS cord though.) Update on the update: Old HPs NOT on the beach. Looks like time to be lookin' up those avantree taurus units.

Old stock 800 HPs was a cheap price for those 1sts in one hunt ! I can grid the whole place There's even an old foundation under some of it.Much of it is kinda jungled out , will look at that closer in the spring but the plants +trees there are keepers . 😩 No regrets coyote.

OOOOOOOIE ! So , there was a coin and stamp show in the exhibition hall uptah camp at spinach central . I called an old friend that collects whose dad owned a coin and stamp shop to see if he was going and yup yup he was. I geared up and went over early to detect while waiting . He shows up right on time and told me he was taking me to his house on a tidal lake it was an old parcel (1700s?)with an early local stage road running through it. 😳 So there I am with my detector. He mentions that his brother found a buffalo in the woods there once . Good enough for me ! Where ? and within an hour we dug a 1883 V nickel , a ???? buffalo , an ???? indian head and a 1941 wheatie . No zincs , no pulltabs and just one old canslaw . All firsts for me. Letting them dry before touching/cleaning . I couldn't tell they weren't modern but he could ID and even see some date #s invisible to me ! Born with "the gift" I guess....well he did work in the coin shop on saturdays for many years. I did manage to misplace my headphones , shut it off so he could hear the detector. We went back over our trail through the woods as well as we could but no luck. They were the ML stock ones over 3 years old and the vinyl was all peeling off so boo hoo.🤗 Have another BTLL pair anyhoo......and YES I'll be going back ! Might even ask neighbors permission. arrrrrrr ! 🏴‍☠️ I offered all coins to him but he wasn't hearing it. So I bought him a half pound of crab and a pound of haddock to take home and got another half pound of crab to make us each monster super sized 1/4 pounder crab rolls toasted in coconut oil for suppah chummy ! So wicked good yessuh. Dang nice day uptah camp . OH ayuh ! 😎 Sorry folks no pics yet . 🤥 87* all orb and winds<10 , but in the woods next to a "salt" lake was very nice.

Shrink tubing comes in a version with sealer inside . Might be all you need to seal it back up. Locktite makes a liquid vinyl in a squeeze tube that could work well under the shrink if not using the sealing type or even all by itself ! Good luck with the fix. Those coils aren't cheap ! 😎

I just read 14 pages . Garrett sure got their publicity money out of that model release statement ! Interest is building to tsunami levels and some are already on the buy list....👍 WTG !
