Ferro Check, What An Awesome Feature
Rick N. MI replied to Tometusns's topic in Nokta / Makro Legend Forum
I'm using recovery 3 also. I have 1 test dime that has a couple natural iron beside it and recovery 3 is working great and was as low as I could go on it. I'll test out in heavy iron. I keep forgetting to look at the Ferrous/Non-Ferrous meters. I'll make it point to look at it tomorrow. -
It's running very smooth. I am happy with the depth in my mild ground. It hasn't seen heavy iron yet. I plan on doing that tomorrow. I like the tones a lot better on the Legend than on the Equinox. I guess I'll find out how smooth it is when there is an iron bias for it and the iron bias set to 0. I haven't found anything good yet. I'm going out tomorrow to a couple spots that have been hunted. It is heavier than the Equinox but it feels good detecting with it. I wonder what it will feel like with 9" round coil and 5x9.5 elliptical coil. I would like the 9" coil light like the XP coil. Was thinking about getting the Deus 2 but I'm going to wait for the iron bias on the Legend and see what it can do first. Soon I'll be able to go in the water.

Was going to say something but sent to Dilek instead.

How Are Those Who Have The Legend Liking 60 Tones?
Rick N. MI replied to Rick N. MI's topic in Nokta / Makro Legend Forum
Right now it feels there is more tone to it over a target. It seems louder that I like. I'll see if I like it over more targets. With the Equinox I never used 60 tones. I only used 2 tones. lol -

Legend Not Sounding On A Metal Screw

Where is your tone break set in 2 tone? Iron volume needs to be set also. -
I hope Russia will pull out of Ukraine soon. I feel bad for the people there. I hope Nel coils will be able to make a come back. I was hoping there would be Nel coils for the Legend but that's an unknown now. A lot hopes in those statements.

New Sand Scoop From Nokta Makro
Rick N. MI replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
I looked up some about that aluminum and it is tough. It looks like Diablo Sand Scoops aren't around anymore unfortunately that I can find. -
New Sand Scoop From Nokta Makro
Rick N. MI replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
It looks like your aluminum scoop is holding up well. -
No issue with the 6" coil because it's so light. I don't know why coils aren't centered on some coils. Now the 11" coil isn't centered either. Again I don't know why it isn't. I turn it around when it's on my detector. Seems to help.

That's a cool. Nice hunting. -
Collectable for the right person. I had my Compass 77B Pro. for about 45 years before I sold it to someone who wanted one. I still used it if my other detector was down.
-
I'm really liking it too. 1.07 update increased the depth in my mild ground and still very smooth running.

Great hunt. You didn't get skunked. Got silver. Sharks tooth is nice. Always nice to find a toy car :). That's a good wind to be blowing the sand like that. -
Any Guess What This Might Be???

It is very beautiful. Is that a loop at the top of it? It could be a pendant or a part of something bigger. -

A Preliminary Report On The Legend
Rick N. MI replied to Rick N. MI's topic in Nokta / Makro Legend Forum
V. 107 seems to perform better. Field mode was better for me in my test coins. I happy I did the update. Maybe a friend will let you use his/her computer for the upload. There are videos that walks you through the download and upload making it easy. The Legend is powerful detector. Can't wait to get out on a real hunt. It's going to be cold all week for me. 33F and snowing today. -
