  1. That's a big ring. Congrats. Seems like it should have rang higher.
  2. With what has come out now, they have to push the limit of vlf or maybe something new. Can vlf be pushed anymore than it has already. I can imagine with what has come out, that they might have to rethink what they're working on. The top end detector competition is getting tough. It's time for something different than vlf.
  3. Your right. I didn't notice that was a circuit board. I do now. They made the elliptical coil for the Deus. So maybe it can be done for the Deus 2.
  4. Nice to see that. Not much circuitry in the coil. Big processor in the controller. SMF all digital. Looks like they can make small coils.
  5. You need to put all those stories in a book. A great read even though I can't hunt for nuggets where I am, I enjoy reading about it.
  6. Looks like a fun hunt. I like the bull pendant.
  7. Joe, I like that you praise the Lord when you find a gold ring.
  8. That's an impressive scoop and videos. My one scoop is 8" x 11". The all stainless steel one is 6" x 10 1/2". I might need a new scoop :).
  9. My lakes are sandy down deep. On a local lake it's been that way since I was a little kid. So I guess any gold rings are going to sink pretty fast. Still I'll use my detectors that go deepest. I have a couple ss 8" scoops. One all ss including the handle and one ss with wood handle. The all ss scoop is heavy. It was a supid question lol. Who's not going to use there deepest seeking detector in the water.
  10. How deep have you dug a gold ring in a mild mostly sandy freshwater lakes? My Gold Kruzer w/ 5x9.5 hits a 14k 3.77 gram gold ring at 11" buried in a sandy beach. I wish this detector had a 8" or 9" round coil. Nox w/ 11" coil and Orx w/ 9" hf hit it at 14"+. When hunting in a lake, is that extra 3" worth it or are you just hunting for fresh drops?
  11. I hope the Legend has different coil options. If it doesn't I don't know if I'll get it. I would like to be able to choose the coil I want with it when I buy it but I know that probably won't happen.
  12. You should start writing books if you haven't already. Had me laughing reading your great story.
  13. Dean, keep posting. We like to hear from others what's going on. I'm still debating between the Deus 2 or the Legend. Not enough Legend videos out yet. Going to have to wait awhile for that.
  14. There are some videos with Legend and it looks good. All the testers with the Legend had to send it back because of the upgrades. It's predicted for sale in Feb. The depth looks there compared to the Equinox. Just have to wait and see how it compares to the Deus 2.
  15. Deus 2 with 9" coil is tempting. I have the Orx w/ 9" hf coil. It seems the perfect size for me hunting in the lakes. I would like to see the Legend with a 9" or 11" coil option.
  16. I like an 8" or 9" coil. I don't care for an 11" coil that much but I relic and lake hunt in Michigan. Bigger than a 9" coil gets tiring faster in the water. I really liked the Tesoro 8" coil in the water.
  17. If you are an area with old coins, IH's come in as zinc pennies.
  18. Shouldn't you consider a Tarscassi too? The prices are close. I imagine the performance is close.
  19. I got an email from Tarsacci. Hi Rick, I have no idea what happened with Aaron. He is not responding. I don’t know anything about D2. I saw some D2 videos mimicking Tarsacci features. Regards, Dimitar
