JoeRivers
Hell I haven’t even gotten one yet , surely don’t wanna think about sending my lil unicorn in for service ?
Norm S
I heard that they won't take any Equinox detectors in for repair until all pre-orders have been filled. Now that's a rumor I heard from Jack Scharf from ML. They don't want to start a panic.. Besides if your that rough on a detector they take it away and make you use a pointer until you learn proper care.
relicmeister
Was there any problems with the CTX 3030 when it was first released? Or the etrak when that was first released?
Mountain Mike
Just in case you order a unicorn and get a donkey. Hopefully the ability of the user to update the software would take care of most potential problems.
Judy
The Equinox will be obsolete before I even get mine
Steve Herschbach
In my opinion Minelab has been learning some important lessons. The Equinox is designed for near instant service. Repairs will boil down to replacing a circuit board or replacing the entire pod. There is almost nothing to “fix” or tune per se, just rapid replacement and return. There is also shipping. I just sent my GPZ 7000 in for a complete checkout before selling used (I got a new one). Even without lower rod the shipping to the east from Reno ran $60.00. With Equinox often all that will be needed for repair is the handle/pod and maybe coil. Much smaller and lighter box = less shipping costs.
