Since I am new to vdi's (coming from Tesoros) I am choosing to dig everything right now. I stop digging at 8"... I don't know how you guys can continually dig deep plugs without a shovel. A lot of targets yesterday were at 8 plus inches! The ring was in sod just above the dirt line and that cremation tag was at about 4". Those pennies were all at about 6" and some of those rusted crowncaps were at 8" (I wanted to find out what was down there. ) Lots of learning left to happen before I comfortable with the Nox! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Chase Goldman Posted April 17, 2018 Share Posted April 17, 2018 Start paying attention to the audio as you dig and wean yourself off of the vdi's as your primary dig indicator. The audio is what really tells the tale as to whether you should dig. But for now, dig everything and start taking note of how it sounds, not just in tone pitch but in how sweet sounding and pure the tone is.
