  1. Holy crap, that is INCREDIBLE! I always dig the IH/zinc numbers at my old sites but like Daniel said ain't much hope for gold up here. Congratulations! Tom
  2. Yesterday was the first run with it and all I can say is that it works and didn't bother my friends 800 that I got to swing for 4 hours. Really helped on the small stuff and near surface targets. Don't know why I waited 20 years to get one! Nice pinpointer, great detector. Tom
  3. Great show Steve. You have expressed your thoughts on many of the topics via the forum over the years, but it was great to hear it in your voice. I hope you do the Gold show. Still snowed in here too and No Nox Now where's that Manta? Tom
  4. The USB ports in cars are notorious for being 1 amp or less so picked up one of these off Amazon to top off the charge between sites if I realize I have left home without a full charge on the NOX. $7.59. Brand isn't particularly important just that it is capable of putting out a min of 2 amps per port. RAVPower 24W 4.8A Metal Dual Car Adapter with iSmart 2.0 Charging Tech - Black .
  5. You dug up a Vampire grave George? Where's the Stake?
  6. What number does it end up at for a barely audible tone? Please state you detector and headphone volume settings such as headphones wide open and using the detector volume control to set level. Probably just going down the rabbit hole with this but....
  7. LMAO Rick I'm glad I scrolled down as I was about to post the same Lucy video. Had the link copied
  8. Thanks for the recommendation George. Never used a PP before but I think it's time. Ordered the Xpointer Orange version Tom
  9. Thanks Dave, With the new tech built into the Nox I was wondering about that.
  10. I'll definitely be trying tracking GB to see if it offers an advantage. Probably not in heavy iron but will see cuz I have to know.
  11. I'll be opening up the screen in most modes and make use of the adjustable volume feature to make the iron tones bearable. saves the step of switching to AM and is my preferred way to hunt. Might leave a mode or two with ID's 1 and 2 set up for the iron tone and even lower the foil tone to -1 for some fresh water scenarios. That all could change with experience.
  12. Cool setup. Have you tested it on any meteorites yet? Tom
  13. I got that too. Never been there but know where it is. LOL
  14. They're hiding the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV that found the nugget behind her portrait pic.
  15. Mostl read 14 on the X-Terra 18.75 kHz (don't have the 800 yet), the worn ones drop down to 12 and one outlier a 1945-P that's a solid 8
  16. Current summer temp forecast for the US. I love it when people spend more time in the water loosing their precious. Some of my better bling finds...
  17. I doubt the USB in my car puts out more than 1 amp so will be buying something for in car use. Just installed one of these; https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=8&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjI4YbAjN3ZAhVKcq0KHUnIC1wQFgiBATAH&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.newegg.com%2FProduct%2FProduct.aspx%3FItem%3D2YZ-002M-00002&usg=AOvVaw1ZuOIxZLHsKZ6eHSjVQhTZ
  18. How targets distort the EM field offer an infinite number of possibilities and some head shaking moments. I like what I'm seeing from reports on the Nox. It gives info on what it "sees" and lets us make the dig no dig decision. That it give solid ID's on most desirable targets we are after is a bonus.
