  3. Here it is everyone!!! It's a 3D color, clear vision, laser guided, Xwave Detector!(TM) That reaches depths of 50 feet! Lead vest is optional!! I got the first test model!!🀣 [Disclaimer: All products in this ad are fictitiously used and in good fun! Do not eat!!]πŸ‘πŸ‘
  4. Hi Jim, Welcome aboard! I love it up there, and the history is amazing! Lots of old stuff to find!πŸ‘
  5. Sorry to hear about the health problems Rick! On the plus side, that will lose you a few pounds for the New Year's resolution! But i'm sure that is not the preferred method!😁 We can wait!! Love the fireplace, wish we had need of one here in Florida!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  6. I have a little bit of soft spot for Charles Garrett 🌹RIP🌹, and his company! Along with doing more than his part for God, and Country! He started his company the month and year i was born! And reading some of his publications contributed to my initial interest in metal detecting! I don't know about the rest of the pack's longevity, but Garrett can afford to write-off the hobby division, if they so choose! Now do i think they will? My guess is a solid no!! I don't think it was in Charles Garrett's final wishes to eliminate the portion of his company that he started from nothing; and grew to where it is today! But instead, is probably no longer the main focus, due to the large demand for the security end of the business! I don't necessarily think they will always try to keep pace with the others detector-wise, but i would not count out Steve Novakovich's (and Vaughan's) direction to keeping the Garrett spirit; and detectors; alive! Just my opinion!! No disrespect to the other great detector manufacturers out there! Several of which, i also own!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  7. Too cool! Now find a gold sandwich!!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  8. A Battery cart! A used stroller from Goodwill! Or wagon with fat tires! And maybe an armored truck with security!! Not that you need suggestions!πŸ˜πŸ‘ Great finds! Keep it going!

    Happy New Year

Everything's crusty at the beaches! Even the people!🀣🀣
  10. Welcome Bilbao, Tons of historic finds there! Can't wait to hear from you! πŸ‘πŸ‘
  11. Welcome to the forum Sergey, I look forward to your experiences, and finds in Russia! πŸ‘πŸ‘
  12. Ok everyone, Let's do 10 seconds of deep breathing!.......... and be thankful for what we do have!!! πŸ˜‘β˜ΉπŸ˜€πŸ˜πŸ˜¬πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜ŠπŸ€©πŸ₯° That will be billable for a full hour! Cash (and Gold Rings) only!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  13. Nice finds Dan!!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’πŸ’°
  14. Hey kac, This is what i found, hope this helps!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  15. No gold chains for me either; yet! But i have found a few very small gold beads! Pain in the butt to locate, even with my pinpointer, in the beachsand! But i have no doubt chains are doable! The few chains that i found previously with other detectors, were either hung up in the seaweed, or stiff rolling around in the surf line!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  16. Hey Nordic, I'd have to go back and check, but i think Simon has dug multiple stacked coins at cointopia, and i don't think he got negative numbers with the Nox for those! I wonder if the coin nationality/ metal makeup makes a difference! I've dug some very low +1- +5, but have not found anything good yet! I haven't dug any negative numbers, but i may try just for fun!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  17. I think its great to try different formulas for cleaning coins, relics, and EO,s (encrusted objects). I'm sure most of us are just trying to identify and preserve our finds! And are not concerned with grading, or creating museum pieces! That being said, those pieces are out there, and are found! And if there is any doubt! Do nothing but protect in a static environment, until they can be seen by someone more knowledgeable!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  18. Come on Steve, We don't need to obey the law's of physics; remember??? We have unicorns and fairy dust!!! πŸ¦„πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ
  19. Bleach, and ammonia! And acids, and alkali's! Etc.. can have very strong explosive reactions and/or make toxic gases! Be aware, and have some knowledge of, what your combining together!! It sorta is, rocket science! If your not sure, its safer to do experiments outdoors! And wear neoprene gloves and face protection!πŸ’₯☠ πŸ₯½πŸ§€ That's my public service announcement for today! Take care all! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
  20. Hey Rick, Looks like a great resource! Maybe you or Steve could put this link on the Cleaning Coin Finds thread that was recently started as well! Thanks!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  21. Castleberry, Minelab replaced my coil with a brand new one last year for free! They even sent a new coil cover and bolt and washers! All under warranty! Took about a month, due to coils being backordered! But they gave me zero problems! Good luck!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  22. Your background and expertise in this industry gives you a unique understanding most of us don't have, or will ever have! But i have yet to read anything relating to manufacturers that you have written, that was downright disrespectful! A little nudge, or dig, to get there attention is in your wheelhouse! The majority of forum surfers don't have the knowledge to be casting stones; and don't!!! As you well know, its the few that stir the pot! But that is what drew me to your forum, and Treasure Beaches blog! The good people stay and share; the bad ones get the boot!!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  23. Welcome, Many here on the Florida Coast suffer from this strange malady! Good luck in treating yours!!πŸ’°πŸ’°
  24. Thanks Steve, and Dave J., Great multi-company history lesson!! There is way to much instant gratification going on these days! And the new and improved is not the do all or end all! We have become a throwaway society of many things! Respect being one of them! Some would call what we have today, progress! I respectfully disagree!
  25. Hey Denny, I was out before sunrise New Year's Day on Juno Beach in S. Florida! Man, it was beautiful, and nice and cool out that morning! The beach was a little mushy, and the finds were few! But what a great way to kick off the New Year!!πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
