Nokta Legend Vs Equinox 800
Rick N. MI replied to Luis's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I'll be getting the Legend this spring. I hope there will be a 5x9.5 coil and other coils too. -
That's to bad. I wanted to see how it did.

Nokta Legend Vs Equinox 800
Rick N. MI replied to Luis's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I like the first videos on the Legend. Tough competition for the Equinox. I want to know between the 2 new detectors which is better on gold earrings and fine gold chains. I want someone to that test too. -

Deus 2 Vs Nokta/Makro Legend
Rick N. MI replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Look how much it cost if you took up golfing. Detecting is my hobby and it can cost too. I know some people who get 1 detector and that's it and they stay with it year after year which is fine. So detecting is a hobby like all the others that can cost a lot or not much at all depending on what you like. -
Deus 2 Vs Nokta/Makro Legend
Rick N. MI replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Calabash is doing a really great job getting videos out on the Deus 2 on what everybody is asking to see. I hope he gets to test the Legend too. Right now the Deus 2 is going above and beyond the other detectors making it hard not to get the Deus 2. -
I thought maybe it's petrified wood? The second rock I found detecting and a magnet hits it. I think it's magnetite.

Wild Guess What Type Of Rock This Is?

It's still an interesting rock. I wonder how it would look if it was polished. -
Wild Guess What Type Of Rock This Is?

I find a lot of rocks like that in northern Michigan. My detectors hit them all and they're magnetic too. I have kept them all. Upper peninsula of Michigan mines a lot of iron and copper. -

Deus 2 Vs Nokta/Makro Legend
Rick N. MI replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I don't expect it to perform like the Equinox or better either. If it performs as well as the Equinox or even close to the Equinox I will be happy with it. I like your thoughts of what it might perform like. Can't wait to see some real videos of the Legend. -
Deus 2 Vs Nokta/Makro Legend
Rick N. MI replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Yes, if the Legend performs as well as the Equinox it's a winner. Lower price, better waterproofing & maybe more coils. I loved the Equinox 800 water hunting. I quit using it in the water after it's warranty was over. So this one could replace it. -
Deus 2 Vs Nokta/Makro Legend
Rick N. MI replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Steve you got that right. "It’s just more of the same in different packages," All vlf detectors use the same technology. It comes down to trying to fine tune it to get the most you can out of it. Depth, separation, better target id, emi resistant.... SMF has pushed vlf's ahead. How much more can be engineered out of vlf technology. -
Deus 2 Vs Nokta/Makro Legend
Rick N. MI replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
The Deus 2 has some nice features and looks incredible but for me I'm going for the Legend. I just hope it's as hot on gold as the Nox, goes as deep as the Nox and has a great coil selection. -
I noticed that too and was wondering how small the gold jewelry could go before it's in the foil range.
-
The Deus 2 looks incredible! How they packed all that into such a light package is incredible. I like how it can be used with a different shaft if you want to. Everything from the ground up wireless. It's just unbelievable. I like it.

Nokta/Makro Legend Specs & First Photos
Rick N. MI replied to Rick N. MI's topic in Nokta / Makro Legend Forum
I'm planning on using the Legend with a T2/F75 style shaft. -
What a spot to hunt! Nice hunt. Try soaking the unidentified coil in hydrogen peroxide. At the bottom it looks like the crust on it is almost ready to start popping off.

I would test it again.
