  1. At the minimum an auto reply from an email would be nice so the customer knows someone is on the other end. Even a voice message on the phone on status is nice. Silence is the worst thing for customer support.
  2. Wonder how hard it is to set up as a service center? I know I could easily put up a competant crew with fast turnaround. Part of skill sets required is ability to use and handle a Telephone and ability to Read and Reply to emails. That and a bit of inventory and minor test equipment shouldn't prove to be too tricky other than the Read part...
  3. Guess I'm not getting into prospecting anytime soon with temps like that. If it hit above 75 I rethink going out. Looking forward to the winter beach hunts, swing my detector and grow some snotsicles any day.
  4. Not that hard to reply to an email or phone message. Wonder if the USA service center is even open anymore? At least Garrett and others jump on customer service. One of the reasons I didn't get a Blisstool is because lack of service here in the States. Hopefully nothing goes wrong with my MK. Maybe Nokta will read this and check up on the situation. Good machines but be a shame if you can't get them serviced here.
  5. Not suprised no one helped, got the same problems here. Glad you stepped up. Always fill my pouch here with glass, deck screws and fish hooks when I hit the sand. Being an alcohol free beach I'm also not suprised their choice of beverage was a 12 pack of Stella, makes them breaking beach rules marginal 🙂
  6. You may want to email Whites, I think they are still doing warranty work.
  7. Gen mode is the raw all metal mode. The high gain modes; 2 tone, 4 tone and deep have boosed tx. 4 tone and 3 tone have boosted audio on the higher conductors so they are picked up easier by the user. If Nokta/Makro gave us the option to adjust sensitivity along with the gain contril it has we could really tweak the machines for our environments. The sensitivity on these machines are incredibly high and when gain is too high we simply pick up too much of the mineralization. Only remedy if you want to run higher gain and go deeper on those modes and help reduce the chatter is to nudge up the base discrimination. Did want to point out that with the high gain modes you really need to be just off the surface. I use 2 tone quite a bit in the woods but when I can't get close to the ground I will flick it up to gen mode. Lower khz does help in bad ground as the lower the frequency the less sensitive it is to small targets. I think the Gold Kruzer and Gold Racer could be really good in aluminum riddled parks if your hunting for jewelry as I think it pushes much of the aluminum up in the higher numbers closer to copper and silver. I don't think the Kruzer is a super easy machine to use especially for a beginner who may not know how to adjust the machine to the conditions. I think the Nox would be easier in that respect with it's presets. MF takes a bit of the work out of detecting in that respect.
  8. I bought my MK because it has 5khz. The lowest frequency does go deeper but not a whole lot maybe an inch or so between the 5khz and 19khz on the stock coil. As I am loading up hours on the machine in different areas I am finding 19khz 3 tone for park hunting hard to beat. 2 tone or gen mode for relic hunting at 14khz. 5khz also 2 tone, deep mode or gen mode in brackish water and fields (soon salt water when i can access the beaches). 5khz will chew through a fully charged battery in less than a days hunt so I would recommend the external battery pack and some rechargeables. Between the range of frequencies I find 19khz picks up on small jewelry, tiny 22 rounds, and has a sharper response to targets. The lowest frequency has a more vague response to targets especially small ones. Coin sized objects it doesn't matter. My first silver on the MK this year was a seated dime and not long after that a piece of silver chain and a half dime. Other finds I found 5 large cents 2 KG's, 3 925 rings, 1 gold ring and countless dimes and quarters I missed with my other machines. My ground balance runs between mid 80's- mid 90's with the exception of pine forest that run in the 60-80's. Between the Amphibio and Kruzer the differences are. S handle on MK,larger stock coil on the Amphibio and more tone options on the Amphibo. I opted for the S-handle and narrower eliptical coil on the Kruzer as I use it for hunting in the woods. Raw depth the larger coil will get you deeper with more stable numbers as you won't need to up the gain as much. ID's are stable and accurate when you keep the machines in <85 gain in the discrimination modes. Gen Mode is an exception as the gain isn't boosted. I do find the MK to be chattery in the high gain modes. This was exhausting to me after using the Tejon for so long. I also found that if you up the discrim the audio can get choppy at times so I just use the iron audio and set it at 1-2. Enough I can tell what is going on. Last bit, will the tiny Kruzer 7 1/2" wide coil go as deep on a silver dime as a Nox 800? Probably be close but the Nox should go deeper. The Amphibio with 11" coil will. I don't know if the id's will be accurate or by how much it goes deeper. That would really depend on the grounds.
  9. My soil ranges from mid to high 80's and often in the mid 90's. Iron is a very big issue here but it comes in heavy patches. If you don't run tracking or ground balance often you will miss targets. One of the reasons I wore out my ground balance pot. We have magnetite, natural iron in the ground and old iron from buildings, tools and what ever has been discarded over the years leaving halos galore. At 95 degrees out I would leave early too. 🙂
  10. I have used aquaseal on my waders way back in the day, forgot about that and don't see it on the shelves here in the hw store. Rubber to rubber the e6000 does work fine but the surface needs to be clean. I used a bit of denatured alcohol first. Aquaseal worked well for felt soles to rubber boot bottoms as well as patching neoprene.
  11. I hear ya, wanted to build a machine myself but need to get an oscilloscope and invest too much $$ and time. Last thing you want to do id damage that TDI especially since Whites seems to be in a bit of limbo.
  12. I have used the E6000 last year on tips of my timberland hikers where they started to peel up and haven't popped apart yet.
  13. I don't have a problem with the machine upping the id's. If anything numbers get dragged down. Which firmware did you use? Thinking there may have been changes to the machines when you had them and the one I recently got. Gen Mode is just an all metal mode and it does not go as deep as 2 tone, 4 tone and deep mode. Having the ability to try the machines in the field is the best option when it's possible. Not many shops around that many of us have direct access to so many of us rely on others experiences on the machines. Not sure if a used machine is worth it as they all tend to hold their value and buying a new unit for a bit more with full warranty and that New Detector Smell that comes with it is nice. 🙂
  14. Does that pulse machine have ground balance abilit and abilit to change the pulse delay? Also how does it perform when there is emi in the area from transformers etc.?
  15. I never experienced id's being averaged up on my MK. If I take an object in Gen Mode (all metal unfiltered raw signal) I will see numbers drop off when they get to the fringe of the range. Discrimination modes will hit targets harder as they are filtered. The high gain modes may have a signal too strong for the target and possibly show the target id higher if the gain is set too high for the area. The MK has a true gain control but lacks a sensitivity control. Gain effects overall power of the machine and ideal if you wanted to comb an area for a recent drop you can limit it's depth to a few inches by dropping the gain down. Sensitivy will effect how sensitive the machine is to an object. High sensitivity effects how well it picks up on tiny objects. If the MK also had a sensitivity control this would make it easier to run a higher gain and reduce some of the chatter as you can start to nudge out the mineraliztion in the ground. Maybe someday they will have both in the same macine. Not to go off topic but the Amphibio with 11" round coil does go deeper than the Nox with an 11" coil. The Amphibio being nearly the same as the Kruzer series I suspect would hit a dime pretty deep with that 11" coil without any issues and should be very easy to recognize on the id in the 81-85 numbers.
  16. One thing nice about the Garrett mono is it works really well in the water even salt, doesn't lift off at all.
  17. E6000 should work too but takes a while to really cure, give it a couple days.
  18. Does that Coiltek coil have neutral boyancy? Best of luck looking forward to see how it works for ya!
  19. From google translate: This is not a domestic place, I will tell the truth! You can buy a silent pulse machine for three or four thousand yuan! No need to be that expensive! ! Besides, the place you go is more sensitive, it is best not to use a pulse machine! The nature of your probing and impulse being caught is different! Pulse Induction is ideal when there is high mineraliztion but they lack discrimination abilitiy when compared to a in induction balance machine (VLF). If you have a lot of trash in the area then a VLF will be better and easier to use. VLF's are typically much less money. Not sure what you meant by "I will ell the truth!" if that implies the people on this forum liars or biased? I hope that isn't the case as the people here are respectable members and we all share the same interest in this hobby.
  20. For park hunting I typically use 3 tone mode and 19khz on the Multi Kruzer with gain between 70-85. The MK will hit dimes very well to the 9" mark in most areas and that is usually deeper than you want to go parks here as shovels are frowned on. 3 tone has the fastest recovery speed on that machine and is ideal for high trash areas. In some areas where there is a lot of aluminum trash I may use 4 tone with these settings: https://www.detectorprospector.com/forums/topic/13307-multi-kruzer-4-tone-settings-i-use/ Bottle caps are pretty easy to distinguish but if they are an issue then I would recommend the 9" concentric which will put the caps much lower on the id scale. I do want to note that there are videos on overall depth tests between the Nox 800 and Amphibio with same size coils. From what I have seen on those tests the Amphibio does go much deeper but the id #'s are more reliable at depth on the Nox. This could be due to soil conditions where the Nox is more reliable. I don't know how much id #'s can be dragged down comparable to the 2 machines when iron comes to play. If your looking to buy a machine the Amphibo has a 99 tone mode which could be useful especially if you use the 50 tone on your Nox. I got the MK for the smaller DD eliptical coil that works better in my area and I prefer the S handle. Many people dislike the Nokta machines and think they are too sparky as they run them too hot and many run the high gain modes with the machine too far off the ground (2 tone, 4 tone & Deep Mode). Audio on the MK is quick so judging size of an object and pinpointing is very easy but makes the machines sound harsh and mechanical when compared to long tone rolls on other machines.
  21. Are you referring to the Simplex? The Kruzer and Amphibio's don't have a park setting so I don't know what mode that would be similar to on them. As a comparison between my Tejon at 18.5khz and 10x12 dd and my Multi Kruzer at 19 khz with a 7 1/2x11 dd the Kruzer hits a silver us dime at approx 9" on Tejon and 10 1/2-11 on the Kruzer. I have found much more silver with the MK than my other machines especially dimes. Tejon is much better on lower conductors ie 15"+ on US nickel with 10x12 air test.
  22. The Blisstool and CF-77 are VLF analog machines without a VDI. They are audio only. The CF-77 has a higher frequency and an iron audio adjustment. Blisstool is a very low frequency machine and single tone. Blisstool has more adjustments and ability to control the discrimination ie: trim out iron and minerals from the signal where the CF-77 has just 2 modes: all metal, discrimination 1 and discrimination 2 which are fixed settings.
  23. Those look like 2 box machines. VLF's for deeper larger objects, don't think they will detect a single coin.
  24. Kruzer and Amphibio family machines use the same coils, external battery option, and headphones. Only difference between the Kruzer and Multi Kruzer should be the MK has selectable frequencies. If there are differences then it might be due to a software update difference. In trouble areas I find it easier to access the frequency rather than the frequency shift. I tend to get lazy and if it means I may lose less than an inch in depth I can deal with that. So far even in air tests I can barely tell the difference in depth with the different frequencies. I do suspect the 5khz on the beach in beach mode would make much more of a difference than land or fresh water hunting.
