  1. My wife says it is the wheel of a pastry cutter. She immediately looked it up on Rubylane.com. 1880s English brass pastry cutter. It looks exact. She’s good on IDs.
  2. If you sense a problem with an update, just Factory reset and re install it. Then do another Factory reset to settle it into the detector.
  3. Sounds like my kind of an adventure. Good hunting & please report back.
  4. Glad you called attention to this aspect. We don't hear much on this. There is one You Tube channel I watch a bit of from the UK that is mainly saltwater beach detecting with the Legend. It seems to perform well. I know the Beach modes run well on conductive Inland sites as an alternative to M3.
  5. That’s a lot of keeper coins. Glad y’all got out and had some fun.
  6. That's a lot of targets. Quite a few decent finds & some pretty glass too. A good hunt & you learned some more.
  7. Welcome from East Texas. Enjoy learning the hobby & traveling around this beautiful country.
  8. A very special find for sure. Can you trace it back to a past owner of the property?
  9. What level of bC reject did you settle on?
  10. Glad you are getting back out. It is a great way to spend some quality time.
  11. I just now saw you last post Sir. No offense intended or taken. For me Recovery speed is another adjustment that needs to be experimented by each user on Their ground. Too low and you can miss targets because of swing speed, mineralization, trash density and who knows what else. Too high and you will also miss targets for the same reasons. There is a sweet spot for each scenario because it is all inter related; Recovery, swing speed, mineralization, soil moisture etc.. and sensitivity. The only way I can learn this stuff is to frequently ask questions & experiment.
  12. Perhaps I misread the focus your question,, thou it seems to be edited now to highlight Recovery speed instead of Sensitivity..
  13. Everyone's ground is different and so is their skill set and probably their definition of "depth". It is much more commonly understood that high detector Gain levels don't play well with high ground mineralization or trash content. This is another example of the importance of doing your own testing in your own ground.
