Steve has my dilemma stated correctly when I can only make trips of 3-4 days or sometimes only an overnighter.  We like daily production of any size.  If you've gone to Arizona and maybe Quartzsite and found a wash that produces every day that is cool beans ... or hot if you like them that way.

Nice finds, BillDean. Just picked up a Monster myself, to compliment my fleet (GPZ, SDC).I plan to use it over the weekend. A good VLF machine should be in the armamentum of everybody. For my VLF needs I thus far used the GB2, but the Monster seems to be a more modern version with good processor, albeit lower frequency. Did you use the little 5 inch coil?

Yes…..I use the round 5" coil. I hunt until I find something or I find an area that has some signs of gold being found there before. Then I hunt that area inch by inch. Some times I rake a little and move the bigger rocks out of the way. Usually if I find one, there are more close by. It may take me hours/days to cover a few yards once I find one.  I found 2 more today.
