Yikes, not a good sign with MInelab in partnership with China. I hate seeing a shovel included in a beginner pack too. You can expect to see those being used in your local park/school to the detriment of us all.

FTP may be calling their lawyers. Looks like a Teknetics Gamma/Bounty Hunter Platinum on a green Vanquish chassis. Did Minelab and FTP merge on this one (Chinese pirated FTP of course) 5.8 kHz and 9 volt batteries.......holy cow.  😱

Interesting, they're really hitting the coin and jewellery market hard as they said they were going to do, with their being nothing about this detector they need to hide technology wise manufacturing in China likely made sense for cheaper manufacuring than their Malaysian contracted manufacturer which has done well to keep designs secure, they've used China for making parts and accessories for a long time, my replacement Equinox shaft had a made in China on it but looks to be the first detector, and probably not the last.   I wonder why at this stage its USA only and Amazon only.

It has a backlight too, that's ahead of many FTP models.

From their website.

1/8" headphone jack. That will be the first thing to break 😄 Yeah, that shovel scares me too. I can just see the NO DETECTING signs going up everywhere 😔

That coil reminds me of a Racer RC40 coil, including the 3 horizontal bumps in front of the decal.
