  1. This is a true story regarding my find of an 1891 San Francisco dog license. My information was obtained through research at the Wil Di Magi National archives. In 1890 a larcenous scoundrel narrowly escaped being hung in Australia and fled to California to continue in his nefarious activities. when he came ashore in San Francisco He stole a families beloved dog. He proceeded to a northern sierra mining camp and advertised the dog for sale as a gold sniffing hound. He then stole a large gold nugget and slathered it with bacon grease and buried it near the camp. the next day he brought the dog out to demonstrate it to 47 eager buyers. he turned the dog loose and, sure enough, the dog went and dug up the nugget (which he then licked clean of bacon grease). There was an immediate bidding war for the amazing gold sniffing dog which sold for an astounding $152.75. The scoundrel from San Francisco couldn't help himself and started laughing at all the foolish prospectors and miners. but while he was laughing the dog disappeared, but soon returned with a huge nugget and gave it to it's new owner. the dogs owner was then offered $842.63 for the dog which he accepted. This same thing happened several more times throughout he coming days resulting in a very joyous, prosperous and happy mining camp, except for the scoundrel who returned to Australia and begged them to hang him. No one Knows what became of the famous gold sniffing dog though rumor has it that he became the leader of the (now extinct) Sierra Dingos. And there are those that claim to have one of his descendants, such as a dog named Wilson out of Reno Nevada one named Buddy near Oakly, California, one named Rooster from the North East Sierras but the only convincing one is an dog named Danny, owned by me and not for sale. The only known photo of the famous gold sniffing hound taken in 1896

  6. Hopefully you post some tests Simon. None of these from either manufacturer have me excited enough to make a purchase, but if they are offering a good performance boost in tests then I'll probably try one out. I've bought 3 Coiltek coils in my life (all in 4500 days) and all 3 failed, another reason I'm not too excited, and on the sidelines for this one.

  7. My dealer doesn't do prepayment so I can change my mind any time but I've locked in the 14x9" mostly because it was coming out sooner than the other Aussie brand. I was hoping to be getting it soon but by the looks of it I'll be waiting until mid to late August now anyway so it gives me the option of changing my order and just getting three coils from the other brand instead of the two I was going to get and not bother with the 14x9". My aim was to get 2 smaller coils and one bigger one to replace my 11" which I don't trust, the 14x9 seems a good stock coil replacement seeing I'll mostly be using the smallest coils anyway.

  10. It could be why they let the aftermarket manufacturers make coils for it so soon, not only the threat of X-coils putting videos up of adapters and coils being used causing a big "Oh No not again" moment for them but also the fact that if people start using NF and Coiltek coils instead of their Minelab coils then the number of Minelab coils failing will drop dramatically as people will be using them a lot less.

  11. yep, I have no doubt it's the reason for the unreliable detectors, doesn't explain the coils though, not much complicated about making a mono coil for it compared to making the actual PCB of the detector and you wouldn't think reasonable quality copper wire would be too hard to get their hands on. I don't know if the coils are made by Plexus too, they maybe had them manufactured in China by another manufacturer, Plexus seems to be more to do with PCB manufacturing and not a place that would be winding coils.

  12. I really think the global supply chain crunch, due to Covid and other related factors, is to blame. All sectors are impacted, just look at the car industry. The question is just to what extend companies, especially those with high reputation, are willing to take a gamble and risk their good name by implementing lower end backup strategies.

  13. If technical issues with the 6k would indeed be a systemic and wide spread problem (note the word if) then I don't see how they could possibly release any more detector models anytime soon. Obviously, some major issues in quality control and manufacturing would need to be addressed first. Mine has no issue thus far however, but I surely acknowledge all the problems reported here. This brings back the king question to my mind.... GC

  14. Actually not hard to do GC, hack saw, PVC pipe and ends from hardware store, the SDC CB is very easy to remove and fix, is rugged as, no soldering or alterations to stop one putting back into original case, batteries are just RC LiPo readily available. Another advantage is more stable threshold, I believe the voltage supplied is much more stable and does not depend on the tolerance of the voltage regulator to regulate, not because of lithium batteries used but because there is no longer spring loaded battery connections.

  15. So far works really well. I use my pp straight up and down to find the target then put the blade just outide and pop the target out. Tip does scoop pretty well for it's size. I hunt quite a bit at the river and lakes that have packed gravel and want to test the new one on durability. Should be like a little pry bar. Shovels are useless in the gravel.

  16. Dear Valued Members, Soon to be released 1.08 update will include the following: 1. Iron Filter (Iron Bias) and Stability settings have been added. When the device is working in Multi frequency, select the Recovery Speed setting and press the pinpoint button. Iron Filter (IF) setting ranges between 1-8 and the default value is 8. DEFAULT VALUE 8 IS THE SAME AS THE CURRENT LEGEND WITH NO IRON FILTER SETTING. Lower IF setting will increase the chances of ferrous targets to be classified as non-ferrous targets and vice versa. St setting is the fine tuning for the IF setting. When the IF is set to 8, the St setting will be inactive in the Park, Field and Gold Field modes. When the IF is set to any value below 8, the St setting can be activated by pressing the right or left button and can be adjusted by using the + and - buttons. NOTE: THE st SETTING IN THE BEACH MODE IS DIFFERENT THAN THIS NEW st SETTING! 2. Multi 3 (M3) has been added to PARK and FIELD modes. Ideal for humid, wet and/or conductive soils. It eliminates the moisture in the soils which can cause falses. It also weakens the response of targets generating 10-11 IDs such as coke and aluminum foil. 3. The selected setting in the settings menu will now blink for easier viewing. 4. Mute function has been added. On the main screen, press and hold the Frequency button to mute the device. Letters "AO" (Audio Off) will appear on the right side. You can unmute by pressing and holding the Frequency button. Even if muted, the device will revert back to unmute in the custom discrimination pattern (notch), ground balance and settings menus automatically. 5. Auto sensitivity drop in the custom discrimination pattern When you select the custom discrimination pattern (notch), the sensitivity drops down to 5 automatically. However, if you are using the automatic notch, you may not want the sensitivity to be lowered. In this case, press the Ground Balance button once to revert back to the current sensitivity. Letters "CS" (current sensitivity) will be displayed on the right side. 6. Hearing the audio through the speaker and the Bluetooth headphones at the same time When the Bluetooth setting is selected, if the Bluetooth HPs are paired, press the up button and select 2. 7. Reverting Back to Factory Defaults After selecting the user profile in the settings menu, press and hold the pinpoint button until letters Fd appear on screen. Fd will disappear after 2 seconds. 8. Audio Gain setting has been added. In the PARK, FIELD and BEACH modes, after selecting the volume, press the pinpoint button. Letters AG will appear on the right side. You can adjust the AG using the + and – buttons between 1-6. The default value is set to 3. 9. VCO Tone Pitch has been added In Tone Pitch, as the coil approaches the target, the audio frequency will change in proportion to the signal strength. It can be selected from the number of tones setting and is shown with a P. 10. Discrimination Pattern is now saved. Default discrimination pattern for PARK, FIELD, and BEACH has been defined as “F (Ferro-off)” and as “G (Ground-off)” in the Gold Field Mode. 11. Mineralization Indicator In the ground balance menu, press the discrimination button to activate the mineralization indicator. Letter GI (Ground Indicator) will appear on the right side. When you press the discrimination button again, it will revert back to Ferro Check and FC will appear. 12. The default threshold frequency level in Park, Field and Beach modes have been changed to 10. 13. Threshold parameters have been updated in the Park, Field and Beach modes. 14. Audio during ground balancing has been updated. https://www.facebook.com/noktadetect...35000278261127 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZqqKz4reAg&t=40s

  17. Simon, at this point I don't see anything lacking in the Gold Field program on the Legend aside from some tweaks to the threshold tone and the release of 1.08 which should give it the possibility of running it in the gold fields with the least amount of iron filtering possible. Even now, it is way better than Deus 2, easily equals Deus 1 and comes really close to the Equinox 800. I have been strenuously testing all three in terms of sensitivity using its M multi frequency mode and its selectable single frequencies where it is over an inch better than Deus 2 on the same .25 gram and smaller targets. It does well in ground balance ground handling and in its great feature set which includes Ferro-Check. Legend is about to get a mineralization graph too so at least among the gold prospecting capable or at least advertised as capable detectors I have, the only VLF that beats it soundly (it beats the rest of mine too) is the Garrett 24K. Compared to the Gold Kruzer ........I would pick the Legend everytime simply due to selectable single frequency or SMF operation, recovery speed adjustments, Ferro-Check, easy to use preset ground handling discrimination patterns and its single digit notching just to name a few. The Gold Kruzer may be operating at a slightly higher frequency but it does not compete with those features since it has no notching, no recovery speed adjustments, only 1 frequency, and no form of discrimination using its Gen mode. Fast and Boost will work in milder ground only. Micro is a great little 2 tone discrimination mode but it is no deeper than Gen. In the testing I have documented for the Gold Kruzer, it is no more sensitive or deeper than the Legend.......

  18. It looks like Stability will help with any iron falsing from a low Iron filter setting. Were going to have find a balance between Iron filter and Stability depending on where we are hunting.

  19. At the moment (1.07) the Legend's Gold Field mode has only one audio option......single tone (no iron tone) highly modulated VCO audio that works very well. Whether it needs audio boost......I don't know. Right now and especially after the 1.08 update, I would mainly use 2 tone (after the update Pitch Tones) in Field mode for relic hunting with wide open, no discrimination Gold Field as a cross reference. But that is just me. In my dirt conditions I am not seeing a big difference depth wise on coin sized objects using Field or Gold Field with similar settings.

  21. Dilek's first paragraph in her update synopsis under Legend Update says clearly that Iron filtering and Stability are available in Multi using Park, Field, Beach and Goldfield. The only exception is the Stability function is different in Beach mode. If she had said there was no Iron Filter/Stability in Multi Goldfield I would have gone ballistic!!!!!

  22. I guess that's my real question. Did Iffy have a true chirping nail or does NM potentially have the IB/IF too high even at the minimal setting. In other words, is it like the Nox where you really can never turn IB off (even when set to "zero") unless you go to single frequency, in which case IB is non functional on the Nox (because it requires multifrequency in order to do its thing). Which leads me to another question I can't answer without the 1.08 update in hand. Is NM's IF functional even when the Legend is in single frequency? (If yes, that would make Nokta's Iron Filter implementation fundamentally different than Minelab's Iron Bias implementation). Can't wait to get my hands on the Legend 1.08 update and try out the new features, might actually make me put down my other detector for a whole outing. 😄

Link to story from another company using Plexus manufacturing during Covid parts shortages.... Not sure if it could be related in any way, but still... not what you'd call ideal.

  26. Hey Chase, just a thought. The iron filter being set at eight may not be the max they could have made it but where they thought would be optimal in most hunting scenarios. Basically, the update was a you can cut it back(iron filter) and fine tune it(stability) but you can’t make it more update. I don’t think anyone was wanting more anyway. I’m glad we can adjust it but I’m very happy with the finds I’m getting now. Watching the testers videos will give me a good starting point to go from if I get into some heavy iron patches. I’m just trying to figure out why I haven’t bought another one for a backup. I’ve sold both my other machines. lol

  27. In the worst EMI locations I drop the sensitivity down to 70 and the audio response to 2. That usually takes care of it but the trade off is lost depth.

  28. I started holding all my gold at the end of this winter for the first time in over a decade instead of just selling it at the end of every season. I'm hoping it does something, but I can't help but feel that someone (read: most of the Western countries on the planet) are conspiring to keep gold down in a time of record global inflation to insure Russian gold doesn't also skyrocket and allow them to fund their war and thus neuter or cancel out all the sanctions the West has put on them. I'd love to be wrong though. It'll be interesting to see what prices do. If it gets up above $3000 and starts to reflect actual real world economics again, I'm going back prospecting full time again.

Love the personal touch by Dilek, but I really need the bottom line up front bullet points version. 30. I run my Mi-6 in Pulse at 46 to 48. I literally have to have the Mi-6 within a foot of the RC/coil in order for it to pair consistently. Even at 48, my Mi-6 can barely hit a 3” deep coin sized target. My Teknetics Tek-Point can hit the same coin sized target at 4.5” on the highest sensitivity setting even in high mineralization………. The Tek Point and Deus 2 seem to play fairly well together also. Mi-6 in standalone mode also gets 3” or so on a coin sized target. So, even though I really like the Mi-6 stealthy pairing with Deus/ORX/Deus 2 it basically cannot match the performance and consistency of my Garrett Carrot or especially my Tek-Points.

  31. I've wanted the 24k since Whites released it, it was all too hard to get with Whites and their very limited worldwide distribution, Garrett is making that easier and has a much larger distribution network around the world so the 24k is becoming more accessible now than it was. I had this one sent from the USA to get it quickly as the New Zealand dealer isn't likely to have any until next year, although I think that'll change when they start getting people asking for them 🙂 I was pleased to see it came with rechargeable batteries to get me up and running fast, a good brand too being Duracell AA NiMH. So a few photos.... starting with the box. Whites fans will be pleased to see all the references to Whites on the box. That looks like Steve's scoop to me 🙂 And the box contents The charger and car adapter, lighter socket to USB adapter and also a power socket with various countries that is like a phone charger really, it just converts the AC to DC 5v 2.1 amp USB power, so you can use any USB charging adapter that can output the 2 amp's to charge your batteries. The charger will also charge on a common 1 amp USB port, it's just going to be slower. Very handy as I can charge the batteries in my Caravan or anywhere really with USB charging. The charger can also charge AAA batteries as well as the AA's required for the 24k, quite handy. The 12v alligator clips charger to lighter socket is very good quality too, nice thick cables and inline fuse. Even the little lighter socket to USB is a good quality product, came in a little package showing it's got a 2 year warranty. It's made by Aukey and has 2 x 2.4amp USB ports on it for fast charging. The charger has Micro USB and USB-C support, so you can use your phone charging cable if you've got one of the many Android phones using Micro USB and forget to bring your Garrett supplied cable. This is the batteries inside the mounting box that slides up into the back of the 24k. They're easy enough to put in there. The battery box has a nice Whites logo on it. You'll see I've already used the little plug they supply to cover over the headphone socket, Good to keep the dust and weather out and I'll likely leave it in there forever. The speaker on the 24k is excellent, nice loud volume so I see little need for headphones unless I'm next to a loud river or something detecting. The screen's nice and big, easy on the eye, every icon and bit of writing is oversized, quite good for people that need glasses I would guess. The buttons are nice and easy to use and you'll note they left the Whites logo on there. The coil's nice, I haven't weighed it yet but it feels light as a feather, and the detector is very well balanced with the batteries under the arm cuff, I've never used one of the Whites detectors with the box under the arm cuff, but I'm seeing how nice the balance is with this style detector. Garrett also supplied little feet to stick onto the bottom of the box so you're not resting the plastic box directly onto the ground, quite a good idea as I generally hunt in very rocky areas. One thing I noticed almost straight away as you don't have to put effort in when you put it down to prevent it from falling over, it naturally wants to sit upright. 🙂 And the back of the control pod, again another Whites logo I think they've done a good job paying homage to Whites, while also putting their own touches on it, a very impressive detector. Now for the meat and potatoes, I took it down behind my house to the river and fired it up, I had no idea what I was doing as I'd only used it for a few minutes but I took a couple of videos comparing how it was operating compared to my Equinox with the Coiltek 10x5" Nox Coil. Take these videos with a grain of salt, I've spent 5 minutes using the Garrett 24k but I found it very easy to use and understand, it can just be a turn on and go detector by the look of it. It handled the ground well, and I was very happy with the sensitivity of it, I absolutely can not wait to get the smaller coils for it, especially the concentric coil. I had put the Coiltek 5x10" Nox coil on the Equinox so it was more like comparing apples with apples and tested both detectors on a small #9 lead pellet. The 24k certainly had the edge on air test depth. The ground performance seems excellent too, I love how quiet it runs, the threshold is very smooth, it's also interesting you can run it right next to the Nox with no interference for either detector, both run fine right next to each other. The build quality of the Garrett seems excellent, the shaft nice and solid and nothing feels flimsy. In this video I take both for a little walk around showing how they handle this difficult ground that's covered in hot rocks. The 24k was completely free of knock sensitivity, something I'm going to find very beneficial with the areas I hunt being rocky. Both detectors have their settings maxed out, the Equinox is on 25 gain. Now I've got to get the batteries charged up so I can use it properly, at least they had enough charge in them from the factory for me to take it for a test run. We are in a 2 week Covid lockdown at the moment, we are expected to come out of the worst of it on Wednesday so hopefully I can go find some nuggets with the 24k soon, judging by my first impressions of it I am sure I will be able to achieve that quite quickly.

  32. yes, straight from the horses mouth The ad was put up yesterday and only 12 people liked it, maybe people aren't too happy with the delays. July 28 release date, not sure if that's the date dealers are expecting to get them or the date the first shipments leave Coiltek, I've pretty much written off getting any from either of the Aussie manufacturers until late August or even September which in a way works for me, ski season starts to wind up and detecting season kicks in with new coils 🙂

  34. This is still a real good question for me and I own all three....Deus 2, Nox 800 and Legend. I used to think I had everything covered by owning an Equinox 800 and the original Deus. The original Deus is a great detector for the right soil conditions and for dense, older iron trashed sites. Deus 2 can do what the original Deus did really well and so much more and so much better too. However, in the places I hunt, I see little to no difference in overall depth on coin sized and bigger targets so far, between the Legend, Equinox and Deus 2. In fact, Deus 2 is coming in 3rd for depth but I just have the 9" coil.......... Deus 2 is coming in first for coins on edge or in weird orientations in dense modern trash. That is saying a lot since the Equinox and Legend are very good at that also. Deus 2 comes in a distant last place as far as sensitivity to tiny targets in any mode compared to the second place Legend and just ahead first place Equinox even when using their 11" coils from my experience. This insensitivity vs sensitivity to tiny targets is a good thing to use to ones advantage. So a person hunting for silver coins in a sea of tiny aluminum or tiny iron trash may really appreciate that tendency that Deus 2 has to ignore many of those tiny targets while still hitting coins on edge very well. A person hunting for tiny gold nuggets or micro jewelry (.2 grams and smaller sized) may not find much with Deus 2 however. The Legend falls somewhere in between but closer to the Equinox which will light up the ground big time on a huge size range of targets, especially tiny ones, but it also gets killed by EMI worse than the other two detectors from my experience. After the Legend 1.08 update, its place in this triumvirate may become more clear.

  39. Iffy did a very short preliminary basic iron filter video using a 2” long Colonial nail positioned horizontally 1” higher and 2” away from a Mercury dime. Setting 8 nothing but iron with the dime totally masked and both targets sounded like one target. Setting 4 nail gave good ferrous response, dime gave good non-ferrous response with no audible falsing. At setting 1 the nail was just starting to chirp when Iffy moved the dime out of the way. So personally, I think Nokta Makro need to add a couple of more increments to the low end in order to get that nail chirping a little more. I already answered what I think some at Nokta Makro were thinking back in January…..just my opinion.

  40. April 22 1937 Part Two I immediately stepped in between Dutch and Slim. I told Dutch that we hadn’t contacted everyone yet and would have given him a job once we got up and running. I said we just couldn’t afford an extra man until we got back on the gold. I also told him Slim was working just to be with the crew and without any real pay. I told Dutch that I knew he needed to be properly paid so I was waiting until that time to put him either on security or the mining crew. This seemed to calm him down. We shook hands and I told him we’d talk more and I would buy him a drink. However, this didn’t cut butter with Slim and he said he had been insulted. Dutch could have done the easy thing and apologized but it wasn’t in his blood. Dutch was a big guy and younger than Slim by a good twenty five years or so. He also outweighed Slim by at least fifty pounds. Maybe more. Slim told him it was too late to apologize now and he wanted satisfaction. Dutch was half drunk and told Slim to go find a place to sit down or he'd sit him down on the barroom floor. Before I could say a word Slim had one of his Colts out with the barrel stuck up against Dutch’s throat. The open end was under his chin and Slim cocked the hammer. He told him to get outside and Dutch had no choice unless he wanted to get his head blown off. By now the barroom had gone quiet and all I could think was now we are becoming not only legends but outlaws to boot. The crew followed Slim and Dutch outside and I pleaded to Slim to put the gun away. Slim wasn’t having it. He asked Dutch how much money he had on him. Dutch said he had ten dollars. Slim said to give it to him and Dutch did so. Then Slim told Dutch to get on his knees. He reluctantly did. Then Slim set a full bottle of beer on his head and told him to keep it balanced. He said if it fell he would shoot off one of his ears. Then he walked back about forty paces, turned quickly as he drew his Colt from the right holster, and shot the full bottle off Dutch’s head. Beer went all over him. Slim told him to stay put and walked over to him with my bottle of beer and placed it on his head. He told Dutch not to move and he was going to do the same shot left handed. He stepped off forty paces, turned and fired as his Colt cleared the left side of his holster. The bottle smashed to pieces from the bullet and beer was once again draining down Dutch’s head. Now Slim told Dutch he had one chance to apologize or he would shoot off one of his ears. Dutch told him he was crazy. Slim didn’t say a word and cocked the pistol. Dutch gave in and said he was sorry. Slim told him to get up on his feet. When he did he fired a few rounds alternately from each Colt and the bullets were striking inches from Dutch’s boots. Dutch was dancing up a storm. Slim told him he was going back inside to do some drinking and said to git. He said he was choosy about who he drank with and didn’t like drinking with cowardly weasels like him. Dutch left with his tail between his legs and we went back inside the tavern. TO BE CONTINUED ..................

  45. I saw that first hand the other day when I was playing around with my GPX 5000 and tested it over the last 12 small nuggets I'd found mostly with the 7000, and it saw 9 of them perfectly fine, I was in fact impressed by it and it was quite competitive with the 6000 on of the ones it did see, but it missed 3 of them for no apparent reason even touching the coil. The small target sensitivity on the 5000 using the 10" Spiral wound X-coil I thought was quite competitive although keep in mind I can max it out in sensitive extra so in a real world situation in hotter soils all bets are off there with the 6000 taking a clear lead I'd imagine, however the missed targets was just odd. The 5000 hit the smallest 0.03 of a gram nugget yet would get no signal at all even touching the coil on a .06 of a gram nugget. I think this is part of the reason people are liking the 6000 so much, it's finding these bits the earlier GPX detectors missed entirely that should have hit fine but the makeup of the gold made it undetectable with the technology. Maybe there is just lots of these weird bits still around as they were missed by earlier GPX users and for the 6000 they're no problem. They're also no problem for the 7000 but that is using an aftermarket small coil of course, I have no idea how well the standard coil would go with them, probably the smaller ones might be missed or if they were too deep for a large 14x13" GPZ coil to see they'd be missed so the 6000 again has the advantage there. So I do understand why people like the 6000 so much, I can see where it has a clear advantage compared to the previous detector that they were using.

The middle is not as sensitive as the heel and toe on tiny targets nor as deep, as the targets get bigger the middle becomes the most sensitive and certainly the deepest part of the coil on bigger targets, as someone intending to use it for coin type targets this will not be an issue with you and in fact it's a benefit of the Coiltek to those who use it to hunt small gold having the really hot heel and toe. I haven't used mine for coin type hunting as I require the most depth possible so little coils serve no purpose for my coin hunts and if in a real junky area it makes more sense to put the 6" on rather than the 10x5" as the footprint is smaller, less chance of two targets under the coil at once. These are the sorts of things you've got to weigh up when you decide which to buy, both work really well, never seen someone break the ears off a 6" so it's likely just a problem with the bigger coils maybe sometimes due to people leaning on the detector getting up from a dig causing fractures with the bigger coils. Never seen someone break the Coiltek ears. Either way you cant' go wrong, both are good coils.

  47. Well not quite a bucket full, but this was a banner day for me! Now in full disclosure, this was a detecting club seeded hunt, but it was my first seeded hunt with the club. Not knowing quite what to expect and still learning the Deus II, I decided to use that. I figured if I found anything at all it would be a win because there were almost 30 much more experienced detectorists hunting in an area roughly the size of a football field. This site has been a favorite place for many area detecting clubs to hold events and has been pounded for years. The whistle blew and it was off to the races with every kind of detector swarming the field. I started off in Park mode and was quickly rewarded with probably the only nail left in the field. I then switched to Relic mode and the field lit up like a pinball machine spitting out bucket lister coins all over the place. As the hour and a half time limit wound down the pickings got slim, so I switched gears and started checking other people's holes and pulled out some more bucket listers. After the final whistle blew we all headed back to clubhouse for lunch and festivities. I poked along the way across the nearby turn of the last century baseball field and hit four more coins (2 tokens & 2 coins). One of the coins was within inches of one of the large bronze base markers. The tiny token, shown in the middle below, was actually found twice because I dropped it somewhere walking to the clubhouse and had to retrace my steps, but the D2 found it again with no problem. In all I ended up with 40 coins. Two 1964 Jefferson Nickels not shown were traded in for lottery tickets... I should have kept the nickels! 😏

  49. I just had to show this one, a guy in Victoria Australia found a 165 gram / 5.8 ounce nugget with his 22" Concentric coil, he'd only had the coil for a couple of weeks! He caught it all on video too. Here is the live dig video. If only it were my find 🙂 I release the same sort of excitement for a 1.65 gram nugget 😛
