  1. Nox is overdo for a software update, if there are any more! Probably gonna be in the "next" iteration!😵 That would hopefully help calm down the EMI issues! Have a safe trip home Bob!🍀👍👍
  2. The nice little silver finds (and others) are adding up for you! I always like the spikes and copper down here, as I know they have some good age on them! Up there they are probably more common, like bird's teeth!😁 I'm sure some of the "YouTubers" feel like any interruption, or potential "fans" are hindering them, or trying to hone in on there "market share" or spots; their loss!!! I've met some very nice, and helpful, well known treasure hunters at the TC beaches (No YouTubers yet, as far as I know!) most all are regular friendly people, with few exceptions! Of course they are not gonna give up there "secret spots", but they are respectful, and sometimes very helpful!! Good luck on your last days their! Stay safe!🍀👍👍
  3. Good on you guys for the gold finds! And doing it "injured" makes you both diehards!🤕 I used to get severe leg cramps during the night, when I would sweat too much working all day, and not replacing enough water and electrolytes in my system! JW needs to eat more bananas, and/or have a glass or two of Gatorade, or Pedialite (I prefer the sugar free Gatorade; strawberry kiwi, or orange, myself) before bedtime to avoid those leg cramps! Much safer than potassium supplements, unless doctor approved! 👍👍
  4. Nice grouping of finds! Great job!! I've been able to find some chains with the Nox, but I dig most every signal at my beaches in Beach 2! The "Planted Dune" warning is taken seriously most anywhere that they have done renurishment and native plant replacement to help hold the dune! But inevitably the storms still destroy it! But people as a whole are very destructive on the dune system! And cause repeated, and continuous damage! Most beach areas my way are hunt between dune line and low tide! No dunes, and no water hunting! As far as the snake warning, that to me is mostly a scare tactic, as the majority of snake sightings are nonvenomous! After many decades of beach and woods hunting, I've only ran into a few venomous snakes (none at the beach yet), and let them be; it's there home, not mine! But one unlucky moccasin "was" overly aggressive!👍👍
  5. No worries BG, Happens to experienced and newbie alike! Sanded in, and/or seldom used beaches, plus wide and expansive beachs, are oftentimes the needle in a haystack type of days! Not unlike some of your very large fields! Gotta have the right conditions, and that "human use" factor to make some finds!! Just remember what Mel Fisher used to say every day of his hunts! " Today's The Day"! Worked out well for him!!🍀👍👍
  6. Wow🤯, Looks to be in incredible condition!🍀 Can't wait to see what our forum coin experts comments are on it!! I'm guessing a professional cleaning and grading are in order! Keep it safe!! Congratulations!🍻👍👍
  7. Sorta reading all your posts backwards last few days! 🤣 Always tough to catch up on the forum after a few missed days! Haven't even had time to welcome all the newbies lately! Life get's in the way sometimes!👌🍀👍👍
  8. Great job Reg, That's a sweet piece of nature's finest!👍👍
  9. Don't feel bad, even learning this stuff, and being close to the beaches,I still have many really crappy hunts!🤣👍👍
  10. Enjoy the feast! Unlike here, the large tide swing can still open up some eroded areas, or "holes" that may collect, or hold some good/old goodies! Also, any unusual features like big rocks, boat ruts, etc... that can hold or expose deeper layers of harder sediment where the good stuff comes to rest! And don't forget the sight finds, and signs of old exposed items; broken bricks, pottery, glass, oyster shell beds,etc...! . Generally, seaweed lines on the beach mean it's building! And they will also hold most of the light trash, like aluminum, fishing hooks with line, or leader wire! But can sometimes hold jewelry chains too! Many chains can fill with sand and become stiff, and just role around the surf line; but now I digress! 😁👍👍
  11. Looks like that beach filled in some since any major erosion! So the targets are most likely gonna be fewer and/or more modern! Also gonna depend on tourist traffic! Spring breaks are staggered, but probably mostly over by now! Tough to catch some good erosion events, when just visiting! But wind direction could change in your favor while your there, and open up a window for you to catch a few good spots! Good luck!!🍀👍👍
  12. That's way more than your average ball game! Serious destruction of property, and should be some stiff fines, and maybe jail time! Thousands in damages! Gotta be on video somewhere, everything is these days!!🤬👎👎
  13. Beautiful find! Thats in a bucket lister all by itself! And even more lucky that it didn't get nailed by the scoop! Wonder if the other "piece" is nearby, or was left attached to someone or something!👍👍
  14. If you get to selling them, be sure to add that to your post and the classifieds, etc... I'm sure that there are many here that could benefit from your hard work! Great job!👍👍
  15. I'm far from a Civil War expert, or any other antique items, but does look like grape shot, or bearing of some kind! Perfect spherical objects are generally man made or shaped! Cool find, and good luck on the finding the ID!👍👍
  16. Nice work! Love to see the evolution of an invention! Your last pic (red with logo) looks like your latest model is octagon shaped! Worked out better than round? Or easier to build, due to inward angle of walls? Sorta hard to tell from the one pic! And one in previous pic is painted black! I would guess any dark colors would get very hot in high temperatures! But white is probably too hard on the eyes, to be practical in bright sun! Interesting development in any case! Keep up the good work!👍👍
  17. Great variety of finds there! I'm surprised you didn't come up with alot of bottles, but those could be unseen under the mud! I often wonder what people will call treasures at our landfills in a few hundred, or thousand years!👍👍
  18. Don't they all?! I tell mine the next time she gets really mad at me for something, put all that anger into squeezing a chunk of charcoal; she can make her own!!🤣.....and so now begins the making of another diamond!😳👍👍
  19. Beautiful collection, regardless of any gold content or authenticity! The only way to tell, for your own information, is museum identification! Beyond that, displaying them is the real treasure! Real or reproductions, they show the same!!👍👍
  20. Yeah, this sucks for us near here! Due to all the new sand, I haven't bothered to do the TC beaches since last year! Sad to say, but it's gonna take a harsh storm or three to get back to anything approaching 1715 fleet items!😞👍👍
  21. Ironically, this is the County I now reside in!! What are the odds! Are my taxes paying for this!!🤯 But I'm not too worried that it will outdo my detectors; at two inches! And it will probably break down alot, so no big deal! I may not be able to pickup microplastics, but I bet I can out trash the trash robot!!🤣👍👍
  22. Great post Simon, and responses from the rest of you soil beaters! Not so much the money this time around, with the new detectors; although, it is always a factor! More in the way of too many detectors, which i need to focus on "thinning the heard"! But that is tough for a horder like me!😁 I'm still having trouble deciding how to thin out my fish tank fish, as they keep multiplying!😳 Can't even give them away! Either a flush, fertilizer, or a predator introduction! "Tough" decision!🤣 But probably more than anything, I'm waiting to see more real world use for both, and coil choices too! If I really think I need either, or something else forthcoming, I can bring myself to sell some truly nice "gently used" inventory at some point!👍👍
