Here in the UK gold prospecting is not the normal type of metal detecting,so only maybe a few do it,i very rarely watch any specific gold hunting YT videos and certainly not Oak Island. I do like watching videos for hunting gold coinage and other gold artefacts,but nugget hunting i doubt that i will ever visit a location ie Aussie land and give it a try.

Welcome onboard,must admit from looking at your images i cannot see it worth folks doing all the hard work for a very very potential small return....of course i could be totally wrong and hope you find someone who will take the job on for you,pure gut feeling tells me i could well be right in my assumption. Very well done,gold is still gold non the less.....that is one more nugget than i have ever found,have found other forms of gold though ie both hammered and milled gold coinage. Lets hope you find more in 24 🙂

Happy New from across the pond,hope i can get out more this year but being a full time carer it does limit the time i can detect these days.

For the most part when i am on my own permissions here in the UK i am not against the clock so i swing slow and low and very methodically and that just suits my style of detecting,but if i am on say a club dig or rally and we have the clock ticking against us like usually 8-10 hours during the summer months then i will speed up my swing speed still not by much though. For me and always has been slow and methodical.

Must have been 'Lightning Fast' on the shutter button 🤣🤣🤣

For me 1970 and a very good friend and i built a very very basic detector from a electronics magazine article,the most basic machine every going but sowed the seed for this wonderful pastime.

That is truly one hell of a amazing shot,i really do like that....who ever took that it must be a once in a lifetime chance to capture that.

Just hope that its not closed down,but saying that it was basically run just by Monte and it would be a shame to loose all the knowledge that he and others have shared over the years.

I personally would never rely solely on what a TID indicates especially here in the UK,audio for me wins every time as say our hammered silver and gold coins vary so much in say silver/gold content and also size and shape which could/can skew the TID numbers,so audio is far more reliable and also at greater depth as well......if you live in a country ie US that has mainly milled coinage then yes i guess you can rely more so on target id but even then i still personally would not rely just on that,our hammered coinage is totally different and many of our hammered coins can come in the silver foil range and gold can also come in the iron range as well,so basically if we rely solely on what a screen tells us then we would miss or pass over so many desirable finds. Also when say a target is slightly deeper than can trigger the audio/TID circuit then i also think that audio threshold is also very important especially when after hoards/artefacts and that is why i always wear full cup headphones to listen to the whisper threshold changes that could be the find of a life time.

If i recall its running at 5khz and has the 15'' coil ?? unless it has some secret sauce inside,saying that would the Nox running 5kz with the 15'' coil perform basically the same but also offers multi freq and even 4khz as well into the bargain. Will be interesting to see how it performs.

Still does not 'enthral' me with excitement about the companies products even though the T2 is one of my all time detectors,i guess its better late than never as they say.

Must admit mine has and never will get modified and the sole reason is that i dont do nugget hunting with it,it's sole use was to be used for hoard/artefact hunting and even then only on occasions.Only ever use it in straight PI mode with mainly GPX coils because of the cost aspect as the machine sits around most of the time,but on occasion when it does come out too play it does earn its keep. The machine is that clean it looks like it just came down the Whites production line a few hours ago,i wont ever part with it and also it does exactly what i wanted from it when i wanted a hoard hunter,this task has been split between the TDI Pro and my Nexus machines which of course has total discrimination.

@karelian,are you selling all your TDI detectors or just this one as you had been possibly one of the most knowledgeable people on the TDI range especially with your coil knowledge and the tremendous indepth testing of about every coil going for the TDI range......must admit i would like to thank you for sharing all your help and advice.

The 24khz Silver Scout coil is truly a deadly coil on really trashy sites and small targets and as light as a feather,the stock 10'' DD coil is a great general all round everyday use coil then the next step up is the 13'' DD and beyond.Must admit my favourite after the Silver Scout is the the 8x6 which alas they no longer make these days,this small coil is as deep or possibly deeper than most 10-11'' stock coils and gives very good target separation as well.
