Thought I'd drop off a few Oh My's . That was a nice looking pan ! Good to see you're still having fun with the story. It reminds me of those old serial western shows on TV when I was a kid. You should write an episode where you time travel there with that excavator ???? LOL Were those your lyrics you posted ?

One Heck Of A Relic Hunting Road Trip
rvpopeye replied to Cal_Cobra's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Good story and finds ,That dime was primo , half dime , well escaped back to the wild possible find on another trip. No doubt you'll go back,,,when it's dry. The trip was a little gnarly . But you both made it back from it all. With the goods ! Weight IS a problem with those e-bikes. I used to go back country on my old 10 speed a lot.. On the rough stuff , I'd just toss it over my shoulder and hike it to solid ground... It weighs 19# ......I still have it. Contemplating putting an electric front wheel on ? BUT that wheel/motor and a battery would more than double the weight of the bike ! With all the battery research going on these days , you'd think somebody could make one out of plastic and air ? or helium , yeah sure LOL -
Thanks Doc ! Now I have something to distract me from getting anything done today too ! π May you have more orders till you beg Santa for one of his Elves for your only gift ! And one of these for that insurance co. issue ,π

So The Beach Hunts Start Again
rvpopeye replied to schoolofhardNox's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I think you've served your time digging zincolns. There should be a limit on that , then we get immunity or something ! π So much for the "there should be " line of thought..... π -

Good day detecting ! and no zincolns. -
Space it out with a block of abs or even wood for a test. I was thinking about that when I saw one of the vids ... then you'd at least know if the mod would work for you as desired .

Live music , touring bands mostly but some symphony and festival gigs when I was associated with a regional sound co.. From Bach to Big Hair Metal to poetry readings .. Whatever the booking people could find , to the phone ringing all the time...once I got my mojo clues sussed. Tron background , designing speaker enclosures got my foot in the door. Truly a dream job for me ! Then I did the pirate ship captain thing ,,,well at a theme park .Different kinda show but a show fer sure arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr matey !

Oh ayuh ! There's gold in Maine , mostly up in the western high country . There was even a state park where they taught panning. back when I was in my 20s . Mt.Blue SP ~10k acres up by Tumbledown Mtn. area They discontinued the panning program quite a while back....the State Park is still there though. And Sugarloaf Mtn. area . I read an old book from the early 1900s that described all the areas but can't remember much of it now Almost all in rivers and streams , but coming out of those mtn systems. (lost the maps I made from it in a fire . arrrrrrrrgh) I was researching it 50+ years ago. Panning only , no detector back then. Didn't find anything but also was pretty green . I did shows at most of the NE ski areas a lot but mostly winter time , got up there a little in summer but doing shows then too so time was limited even if it was a summer show . I really didn't want to travel much on the few days off I had....maybe 3 a month. Touring is pretty much a 24/7 gig. counting sleep , if any. C'mon up ! Might want to wait till June though....15*f tonight 25* high tomorrow...the ground , she very hard yup yup !
