  1. Yeah, I switched to Z-Link too. Makes the detector a bit heavier, but it was worth the investment.
  2. I need to go MD'ing in the UK...just sayin...
  3. I use the Garrett Z-lynk system too. I initially had the head unit attached to the shaft just below the Tarsacci head unit, but it made the detector a bit nose heavy. I have since moved the head unit to just below the arm rest and the balance is much better
  4. Nice hunts! Always wondered what it would be like to hunt campgrounds...after seeing your pictures, I want to go camping!
  5. It would be great to have him on the forum to ask questions and read the answers he gives to other's as well. I really like my Tarsacci, but beach conditions here in Northern California haven't been ideal. Looking forward to getting out there when the first storms hit!
  6. I have a setup similar to JCR. I have the Z Link system, but have the Garrett headphones too. Made the machine a touch heavier, but when I moved the wireless router to just below the arm rest, it balanced things out nicely. Just not into wired headphones...
  7. Keep the tips coming! Nice video...I'm always trying different settings on mine. Now I have something more to try!
  8. Nice to hear! Ditmar has personally responded to several questions I've had in the past regarding operating the machine. Nothing like personal service!
  9. Nice! Those carbon fiber shafts sure do make a difference!
  10. Greetings All, Has anyone switched to a carbon fiber lower shaft for their Simplex? I've read a few posts about people switching over to them, but do they make that much of a difference?
  11. I don't use one on the beach, but wouldn't go without one anywhere else...saves time....
  12. Yes you do, but you can buy an adapter on Amazon for less than $10...paired with the MS-3 headphones (they have an adjustable volume knob), they're awesome!
  13. I have owned my Tarsacci for over a year. I also own an Equinox 600. They are very different machines with their own strengths and weaknesses. The Tarsacci is more solidly built (carbon fiber throughout), but it's over twice the cost of the Nox (a bit less if you're looking at the 800). I use the Tarsacci exclusively on the beach. It's ability to deal with changing soil conditions (or sand in this instance), is unparalleled. The Nox is better in trashy parks because of its ability to notch out some kinds of trash. Tone seperation on both are similar. Since I hunt mainly beaches (when I get the time), the Tarsacci sees the most usage. If you plan on using your MD at old sites hunting relics and items from the CW, the Tarsacci would do very well. There are YouTube videos on that. Whatever you decide, good luck and happy hunting!
  14. I LOVE my Tarsacci! It's just cool to mess around with the different settings. In addition, it's DEEP! Congrats on your finds!
  15. I like to hit the parks right when the sun comes up, or just before the sun goes down. Not as many people around...
  16. Great video! It's nice to see that your hunts are a lot like mine...some treasure, but a LOT of junk too! Nice Buffalo Nickel!
